Thanks Mike. Kane's looking a lot more comfortable and solid. He's mature and ready. Only question is if there's enough room. Maybe with the Marshall release he'll make it.
On another note, David Aldridge and especially Steve Smith were horrible calling the game. We want spotlight on players, especially ours, but DA was superficial, and Smith offered nothing meaningful, seemed like he was a last minute fill in. Doris Burke puts them both to shame. Im serious
lol at Randle's interview on the highlights video. "I just really didn't have it going...uhhh i don't know why." I love how he admitted that he wasn't having much impact in other areas of the game though.

Absolutely horrid. They talked about the Laker franchise. Almost nothing about the game except for Gary Harris. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I found humor in the fact that the last time I hated the play calling this much was Rex Chapman helping "call" the Kentucky championship game. I hated how he was so biased, even though he was from Kentucky...of course if I'd known that I was watching a future Laker that night....
I know we shouldn't get our hopes up.. it's only summer league.. but Clarkson is such a steal man.. kid can straight out play. I love how Randle can penetrate for a big dude.. I still have faith that we will make playoffs and shut all these negative people up.
I watched only two games (and didn't get to watch yesterday as well) so would really like to hear your opinion on two players.
1. Thompkins (although he didn't play yesterday, why?)
2. Beaubois
I understand that they have played before and are somewhat recycling project but both looked to me head and shoulders above the competition. _________________ Major bullets dodged: DH12 - twice, LMA, Melo - twice, PG-13, DeMar DeRozan. Hit jackpot with DH-12 at the right time

I'll be covering them later into the week.
Great, thx in advance _________________ Major bullets dodged: DH12 - twice, LMA, Melo - twice, PG-13, DeMar DeRozan. Hit jackpot with DH-12 at the right time
I still don't know how I feel about Randle's handles. It's amazing to see such a big, strong guy dribble it so well, but I'd rather he lean toward being a bruiser inside with his strength rather than making PG like plays. Not to say he should never face up when that seems to be his preferred style of play, but he seems to have a bit of tunnel vision where he sees an opportunity to make a move and misses out on the passing opportunity early. I wonder how much playing time he's going to get this coming year..

Agreed. I would much rather see him develop an inside game rather than dribble in from the arc. NBA players will strip him easily if he tries that too often. He should be bruising inside and develop some post moves. _________________ Ahhhh, those were the days...time for a new beginning!
he did what he had to do to be relevant on summer league, since no one would set him up or pass him the ball on the low block. That to me can be a good sign, he seems to adapt easily and fast
Why wouldn't we want Randle to develop his handles more? A PF that can handle the ball with his speed and strength would be unstoppable. We know he can post up. He can dish the ball well too, so much potential to drive and dish and if he develops tighter handles it's game over.

Thanks Mike. I like going and reading your articles, but could you let the site know that having to hack through the jungle of adds with a virtual machete is really annoying, to the level where even people wanting to come read content might bail? _________________ “We must always take sides. Didn't realize it was so bad. I'll provide the feedback. It's greatly appreciated. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
Thanks, Mike. I agree with your assessment (even though watched only two games)
Just a side note

He shot 7 of 9 from the field and hit 1 of 4 behind the 3-point arc.
Something doesn't jive May be - 7 of 9 on two-point shots?
Is Beaubois next write up? _________________ Major bullets dodged: DH12 - twice, LMA, Melo - twice, PG-13, DeMar DeRozan. Hit jackpot with DH-12 at the right time
