I don't think he was selfish at all, he was having a rough night. He forced one midrange shot, but that 3 he missed at the end was a good shot and open. He just missed.

The problem with DLO is that when his shooting is off he's just not providing that much, but at the end of the day, shooters gon' shoot. I'm a fan of the guy and don't want to overreact to one loss but he's showing why he's a $20-25M player and why Kyrie is a max player.

Difference between paying dlo 30 or kyrie 50?

11 points 5/11 and 0/6 in a must win

Yes he is a better player however Kyrie can't carry this team either with 12 min-salary contracts.

We saw that with Westbrick.

No that 3 point shot was a hero shot because he wanted to be remembered for winning the game and not shooting 5/17.

Its literally a simple pass to a wide open Reaves. AD was doubled and all game we swung the ball around the perimeter to find the open man. Dlo takes the pass and takes a contested 3. Thats a terrible shot.

Bron makes 50 so he won’t have to carry us

There's a GM in the league that gave CJ McCollum 35 million.

Cj is better imho, but that doesn’t mean we have to be that team.

Honestly you might be right, I remember him being open. If he was contested and Reaves was open, then I'm there with you. But I thought he was open.

DLO has killed this team last 2 games.... Awful shooting no where near his average.

Not sure why Ham didn't sit him tonight when he obviously didn't have it. He was trying to be a hero in the last 2 minutes.

+1
I don't want to root for trash human beings. Is Kyrie a fantastic basketball player? Yes. Tiers above Russell. Is Russell + depth > Kyrie + minimums? Hard to say. But I know that Kyrie on this team makes it hard for me to root for them, simple as that. Let him be Dallas's problem.

Well TBF he barely shot it in the 4th quarter. I don't really remember him doing much of anything, but there is value in having someone directing the offense etc. that might not show up in the stat sheet. I mean at the end of the day you got to score the ball, but Schroeder was kind of cooking. Again I wasn't really paying attention but the lineup did well so maybe Russell helping facilitate Schroeder.

It does suck he was awful shooting the ball though. I thought he was gonna hit that 3 at the end.

His man was closing on him fast because it was the first pass out of the double team. It was extra terrible because we had literally been getting wide open shots all game by just swinging the ball around the perimeter from ADs doubles.

Personally I never blamed Byron or Worthy for Showtime Lakers losses.

Not that they lost very much at all, but you don't harp on the third and fourth options when it comes to assessing blame.

This is much more on AD and Ham.

Dlo does deserve a significant share of the blame pie but he was an efficient playmaker and if he was afraid to shoot, then people would have complained about that.

Wish I could replay but I see what you're saying. I think a good 3 point shooter should shoot it even with a defender closing out on you. But if the swing pass is available (to Reaves, one of our best shooters) AND Russell was (bleep) the entire game, then I'm on board with your criticism. Bummer.

Eh its just the same people that disappear and say nothing when he plays well. Just like the people that only show up when AD doesn't play well.

Yeah, but you never blame anyone.

You are like a public defender on retainer for the people who never says anything bad about a player when they blow it.

I was rooting for AD to have a good game... I acknowledge he's a great player overall.

But this sh*t is heart breaking and the fact that you never criticize anyone turns a lot of your posts into white noise.

Even if it is only ten percent of time, it would be refreshing to see you do something other than defend them.

I want everyone on this team to succeed.

These last two losses are just devastating... give us room to vent and grieve.

If he takes a team friendly deal i'd resign him. If he wants big money i'd let him go.

Isn't good enough to warrant a huge contract.

Please. Most like dlo but there’re a bunch saying he’s a 30-35 m player.

We just got off a bad contract. Have been hamstrung with bad contracts in recent years. The guys turning on him aren’t any different than the flip side.

He’s a 3rd 4th option. No one expected him to step up as a number 2 and win this game. He’s not that guy.

I want to see him make a clutch shot when the rhythm of the game is against him. I havent seen him be able to that once. This was something Van Exel had an uncanny talent for - better than almost any Laker Ive seen.
