They are basically playing for the conference championship now. Their national championship hopes evaporated after 2 losses. Should've worked on the defense in the off season. If they somehow manage to win the rest of their games they can probably get in a good bowl game. Otherwise its a minor bowl game and looking like a disaster of a season if they lose to the ranked teams left.

Maybe to Chicago or Arizona?

If that happens, USC is absolutely hosed for the next 5 years at least.

After what happened on Saturday, USC is probably hoping this happens so they don't have to keep on paying him $10 million/year for the same outcome as they did under Clay Helton.

It starts with the QB, Caleb Williams with all his NIL and NFL interests, was never seem like a part of the team. The body language sucks, very Ryan Leaf like when teams losing. I know defense sucks, but your supposedly team leader does not instill confidence in rest of the team when things gone bad. Defense is mostly about efforts, I just don’t see in on this SC team. It starts with the HC and his had picked “star” QB. Williams gonna have a rude awakening when he goes to the draft, NFL teams values tangible and leadership just as much as talent. Incapable of winning in big games looks very bad on Williams’ draft stock.

Williams reminds me of Ben Simmons in his one college season, it looks like he doesn’t want to be there.

agreed, and his dad reminds me of Lavar Ball.

Elsewhere in the world of college football, the Michigan program is embroiled in a sign stealing scandal that threatens to upend their run to the national title. Michigan fans are in denial if you read the comments on the internet.

My understanding is it will get much, much worse.

Looks like Washington and Oregon are the two best schools in the Pac-12 right now. Oregon at the moment blowing out Utah at home.

The Washington vs Oregon game was the best college game I have seen in a long time, they are definitely the two top teams.

UCLA and USC disappointing, Oregon State is very good but not at the top level as is the case with Utah.

Impressed though with teams like Washington State, Arizona and even Cal playing above expectations.

The WA SC game is a joke in regards to defense.

No surprise, USC can score a bunch of points and still lose because they can't stop anybody. Defense optional.

that Caleb Williams cry was so fake. this season was long lost way before the Washington game. why wasn't him crying after the loss to Utah and ND? probably his publicity firm came up with that script. i'm sorry, maybe i'm too mean to the kid, but he has never EVER won any big games when it matters.

Yep, it was lost when they came out flat at Notre Dame. I mean the defense everybody knew was bad but when they didn't even bother to compete on the road that showed how good this team really was this season. Those subsequent losses to Utah and Washington just showed that this team was all flash and no go this season.

Harbaugh suspended from being on the sidelines for 3 remaining regular season games for the sign stealing thing, but can coach during the week.

And Michigan quickly announced that it will seek a court order to challenge this.

If Michigan loses to Penn State or Ohio State, look for Harbaugh to be the next coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Or the Bears. They may have the #1 pick and another pick in the top 5. Hell, they could even get the top 2 picks if they are really lucky. He did play for the Bears, and the NFC is much easier than going to coach against the Chiefs in the AFC West. The Bears may be more motivated to hand out a big check, too, given that Raiders owner Mark Davis is spending something like $85MM to pay Gruden and McDaniels not to coach!

I could see him going back to the NFL even if Michigan won the natty, btw. He seriously considered it last year, remember, and now the NCAA/Big 10 is even more up in his business. I make no judgment as to whether or not he committed infractions, but I'm simply saying that he may see this scandal as the little push he needs to leave the college game and go back to the pros one more time.

Great points Stu...the Bears as an organization would also seem to fit his smashmouth style and personality. He has to be getting tired of all the Big Ten and NCAA nonsense.

Michigan with a big time win on the road in front of 110,000 in Happy Valley.

Blake Corum's interview after the game with blood running down his face was inspiring, I want to block for this guy after seeing that.

Win or lose against Utah, Washington is not a top 5 team.

If USC beats Oregon and Washington beats Utah, the Trojans could be in 2nd in the PAC-12. I hope I did that math right. LFG!

Interception seals win for the Dawgs. What a crazy game. I little bit of everything.

USC is gonna lose this week and most likely against the Bruins as well. They will finish 7-5 and have a massively disappointing season.

They play down to their competition but still are undefeated. They will most likely be playoff eligible.

Maybe I was guilty of crowing Caleb Williams a bit too early. His great plays are jaw-dropping, but this constant improvisation and lack of ball security are becoming a little alarming. He now has 32 fumbles in his college career. That doesn't mean his team has lost the ball all 32 times, but yikes.

The ability to extend plays is something that NFL teams desperately want and need, but I'm getting a little worried that he's not playing in structure enough. You can't freelance in the NFL on half of your dropbacks. It's just not going to work. Maybe he's just bored since USC is now out of all the meaningful races they thought they'd be in, but what I'm seeing is cause for some concern.
