Trump will probably privatize them and sell them off to his favorite millionaires so they can turn them into crappy for-profit schools with no standards and no actual proficiency when it comes to education.

I'm actually glad Republicans have all three branches -- even though it will probably hurt me. Then voters will only have one party to blame when we have a recession and inflation, or the budget doesn't pass and people don't get their Social Security checks, or there is no vaccine available for the next pandemic. Then it will be obvious who is at fault. It's time for the Democrats to stop rescuing Republicans in Congress from themselves.

I have absolutely zero faith those morons can put 2 & 2 together and realize who's responsible. They'll still blame Biden and the Democrats.

Exactly. It's the reason that Republicans vote against their own best interests. It's not about policies; It's about blaming liberals for what they perceive is wrong and fighting them. They thrive on the division.

So it turns to private schools? That’s my worry, my kid is in one and we already live in a high property tax area, gonna hurt if we have to start paying private school too

But if you want to know why Trump won quite so big, then look no further than the Democrats’ obsession with peddling such dangerous and deluded nonsense to an increasingly enraged electorate.

I genuinely believe that the astonishing scale of his victory signifies the sudden death of what Elon Musk calls the Woke Mind Virus, and with it all the virtue-signaling, identity politics bullsh-t that has contaminated American society for the past few years.

The left love to proudly call their disingenuous claptrap ‘progressive’ but, in reality, it’s proven to be horribly regressive.

And

Quote:
They love to brand Trump a fascist, but ironically, they themselves have been the fascists – shaming and canceling anyone and anything that dares to deviate or defy their narrow, blinkered, heavily censored and joyless worldview.

They love to call themselves liberals, but their behavior is so antithetical to liberal values it’s beyond parody.

They love to demand diversity, equity and inclusion but rush to exclude anyone they don’t like, play the race card to venomously hypocritical effect, and as we’ve seen in women’s sport, actively destroy fairness and equality.

I think most Americans could care less what Piers Morgan thinks. First he was a terrible successor to Larry King on CNN. Second, he isn't even an American, he's a Brit and I doubt his opinion matters much as somebody who doesn't even live here. Third, he won't he affected by the policies of the Trump administration, he is just watching it like a circus from a safe space.

Same thing with our National Parks. Anywhere they have any amount of natural resources, they will desecrated to strip of them for profit.

I don't know what's going to happen, but I have watched Trump and his cronies too long to expect them to not be corrupt. I hope for your sake it doesn't happen. But that has been the goal of Republicans for the last 20 years. To destroy public education and privatize it for their own profit. That's what Betsy DeVos wanted to do when she was Secy of Education last time. Since that didn't work, he wants to eliminate the entire department. What other reason could there be? Grifting and corruption R Us.

Mining rights, oil rights, land rights, the post office, all of it. The oligarchs are giddy. Last time there were at least a few guardrails. This time, SCOTUS made him above the law. They gave him a free pass to as much corruption as they can think up and execute.

Get ready for an onslaught of FOXNEWS. Soon they will be the #1 news source. MSNBC, CNN, and likes will be censored.

I find myself letting out primal screams on occasion.

I know the Trump administration hated California because many of the cities would not comply with his policies during the first time around. I don't expect them to do once he gets into office again. That means many of his policies will be thwarted in this state. Its probably why he wanted to send the national guard into the state as well.

The really annoying thing is how they are going to punish the american people by doing things like getting rid of the department of energy, and dismantle the FDA, but then blame those things for our problems.

Things will get worse, but it will take a long time until we see the true negative effects, so in the mean time they'll declare victory while our kids get dumber and sicker. Screwing over future generations, again.

A lot of the blue state governors have already come out publicly and drawn a line in the sand stating they will protect their citizens. Our governor, Maura Healy, did so as well. When she was our AG she sued Trump 100 times. And I believe she's the only openly gay governor, so you know she is especially going to defend LGTBQ rights. We were the first state in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage. I also don't understand how gay people voted for Trump. They are coming for your marriage and ability to adopt kids.

Good. Hence why I advised people to move to blue states if possible.

Funding might be cut for ‘non Christian’ programs schools (assuming it means LGBTQ stuff), not sure about abortion providing hospitals

I'm sure federal funding will depend on it, just like it did with stem cell research.

I personally am not even going to travel to a red state. I may have to pass through one on the way to somewhere else, but my intention is to not spend once cent in a red state. Not online and not for vacations.

Trump had until Oct. 1 to submit an ethics pledge to pledge to avoid conflicts of interest Of course he failed.

This is in violation of the Presidential Transition Act. He isn't even president yet and is already violating the law.

Why won't he pledge to avoid conflicts of interest?

Cause he’s above the law, ask the DOJ

This is real, from an actual video Trump put out today:

Quote:
Keith Boykin @keithboykin

Trump announces reparations for white people. He says he will ask the Justice Department to penalize colleges that consider diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and fine them so he can pay “restitution” to white people who he considers the real victims of racial discrimination.

For all the (bleep) liars who said Trump isn't a racist or white supremacist and liberals are making it all up. (bleep) you.

The Shallow State @OurShallowState

My #1 outrage, out of many, is the combination of presidential immunity and pardon power - it not only creates a formula where he can do what he wants, but it allows him to order accomplices to do what he wants and protect them.

It's an unfettered crime syndicate.

The Rule of Law might not be gone yet, it's too early ... but I'm pretty sure, at some point in 2025, it'll be coughing up blood -- and the worst part is that when the Rule of Law dies, it becomes the Rule of Trump.

So you are advising people who live in states that voted for Trump, to sell there home and move, so a person in one of the seven swing states, should quit their jobs, sell their home, move away from family and friends, spending (losing) all the moving expenses as well as possibly losing money when selling their residence, then find new jobs, when it could easily swing-back in four years...

Because something bad "might" happen during the next four years?

I'm not trying to argue and lucky for me my house is paid off, not far from the beach and in a blue state, but this sounds more like an emotion-based reaction than a realistic suggestion.

Also when looking at the blue states, most of them have very expensive real estate prices. MN & NM seem to be the lowest priced homes, not sure how good of a landing spot those would be.

Well, if the states are still responsible for federal taxes, then that is not as rosy as is being made. Trump is gonna want to continue to rely on blue states for revenue but not want to fund blue state obligations. Not sure how legal this is, but I'm also not sure if that will matter.
