If you look at what we started with in terms of real rotation players:
AD/Max/DLO for Luka/DFS/Williams
It took 2 FRPs, 4 SRPs, and Knecht.
Not bad, not bad at all. The DFS trade low key SHINES with the rest of these moves being made as that connector piece. Still wish we could've held onto Max (maybe Gabe going out) but it is what it is |

Yes. Rob did great job hypnotizing mavs and Harnets to reach lakers to make those trades... |

Oh you upset Clipper fan, let me educate you.
If this was LeGM/Klutch in charge, AD does not get traded and even if they decided to stab him in the back (which is possible imo), they would get fleeced as usual by sending over AR, Knecht and both FRPs. Then, Roger Federer would be giddy at stupid Lakers!
Instead, you got the cold blooded former agent of Kobe running the show and it’s one of the most obvious things when he is the one operating and not just being a YES MAN to Klutch.
He is the captain now and fun times for your clippers is officially over. |

I do understand you like Mr pelinka who failed to add a decent center in 4 years because he is Kobe's agent.
You guys never disappoint in giving him credit for all the good things and then curse clutch or magic or entire league for not trading with Lakers...
He was not looking for Luka or Williams. He got lucky and got Luka. Hie got lucky and got Bron and AD. Lets see how the other guy is before building a statue for him just like every season...
Remember all those great signings of Trez, 64 million to DS, giving FRP while bringing Russ and then one while sending him. signing Nunn, wood and list goe son...you all praised him for those signings as well. |

This guy is the most chaotic GM in the league maybe. Since we got him, he’s had some legitimately great moves and legitimately “WHAT” moves. _________________ Austin Reaves

^ Rob was absolute (bleep) from '21 up until the trade that got Westbrook out of here. Could add more sins like getting rid of Caruso, treating KCP like a throw in in the WB deal, sending out an FRP in the WB deal?? etc
But he's been better recently.
Still think he overpaid for Rui and Vando in '23 but all in all he's been good. |

he was under Klutch's clutches. Had he used his gut to do Heild trade maybe things are different. he didn't. Now he is the GM of the lakers and not klutch''s water boy. People change. Clippers who were already irrelevant had a lot to say about lakers getting Luka. New arena- and already back to the sterling years. Bitter fans back to hating. _________________ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDfvXWXvpeb/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== |

Now he is showing you what he can do when he is the true decision maker.

why do you keep going to Clippers. Don't you have anything meaningful to say? He got the job because of KObe. He has no basketball vision. all his signings shows that. If it is other franchise he will be out of a job now.
I am happy to prasie him when he does something good which shows he is a good GM. All I can see as of now is that he got lucky. |

Because it’s damn clear you are clippers fan venting now that the Lakers are being run competently. Why do you keep deflecting on being a clippers fan?
If he is so lucky, why would Kobe hire him as his agent, then go on to recommend him to Jeanie?
Seems like a guy who knows what he is doing and the crap Klutch moves headlined by the Westbrook acquisition is no longer a thing in this organization.
Enjoy us whipping clipper ass in the Luka era! |

Trezz was the 6th man of the year and signed for MLE, DS was second in 6th man of the year. without them we couldn't even make the playoffs that year. what is wrong with signing them? |

Let him convince someone to buyout a KD or someone like that and get him in the buyout market.... then maybe he improves a notch?
The RW trade... made him appease some players but was horrrible. But this year, IIRC JJ was talking since the start of enabling AD as Center. There is no point of getting another starting C if you have one of the best. Then he comes up crying that he wants to play PF (which is a more natural fit for LBJ lately) and people start wondering why we don't have another C.... but the plan was for AD to be that C!
More reason to do the trade. |

So he got us Luka and then , with the pieces that he saved from that Luka trade, got us a super high ceiling center who's 23 years old, exactly the type of player we need, who no one even knew was available? Which also put us under apron and opened a roster spot to get a buyout player? STATUE. |

The other thing that Rob or Jesse Buss deserve credit for is picking Max and DK. Those seem like they were key pieces to getting those deals done. |

Only stain is the brick trade
-traded for AD without adding kuz
-quickly build a championship team after kawhi cheated us
-quickly added Marc gasol, trezz/Ds( 1/2 in sixth man the previous year.
-fixed the lakers with the DLO for brick trade (WCF run)
-drafted max
-found AR in undrafted
-signed DLo/RUI/Ar to team friendly deals
-trade Thomas Bryant for 3 second round picks
-got Rui for 3 second round picks
-got DFS for DLO and 2nd round pick
-got Luka for AD and max and only 1 FRP
-traded for Mark Williams.
-cut tax payments for Jeanie |

Rob absolutely cooked this offseason. I'd still like to see us add another defensive guard if possible and a 3rd sting center, maybe give Jemison a guaranteed roster spot? |
