I gotta vent ..
Why, why, why 4 x 8 for Christie when he's RFA? Yes I think the kid has potential and should've been resigned but c'mon.
Why the f*** 4 years for a 55th pick in the draft that would've gone undrafted if the Lakers hadn't picked him? Yeah, yeah I know there's a Bron tax but still .. act like you (and Jeanie) have a spine for god's sake.

LeBron probably no longer saying "Rob wants his respect too." Giving so many players that second year as a player option has come back to bite them.

I have been a Rob defender since the Magic disaster, but I am hones baffled by this summer.

I laughed when he showed up at JJ's announcement looking like his hair was still in bed, now I'm legitimately wondering if he is even paying attention to his job.

Pretty much killed our offseason. This offseason was always going to be limited. It only became exciting because Lebron announced he was willing to take a paycut for Klay.

Got a lot of our hopes up in here...

I think we already have 15 players on our roster. Maybe this is why Rob can’t sign any free agent yet?

Yup that is main and only reason... Need to dump Cam/Hayes/Wood. But no takers so far. Teams are asking picks attach most likely.

This is so dumb. We have MLE to spend but we don’t have a roster spot because Rob have a second year player option to those minimum players that we signed last year

Probably drinking himself knowing that Jeanie and Klutch have him by the balls.

Sometimes..geez. You got a 15 man roster. One person is taking up a guaranteed spot who really shouldnt be here that got picked #55 in the draft

Next you got players who have no value or didnt get any burn thanks to a idiot for a coach.

A. Cam was mostly hurt half the time and as soon a he did start playing
well..back injured again.
B. Hayes played sort of..but actually should have been out there with AD to
let AD move back to the 4 spot where he wanted to be..but nope..so
less burn for him..ie no value
C. Last year we wasted all the time to get Wood and he played NO Real
Time ...so no value there

It was automaitic that these guys were going to opt into their contract becasue they got no burn and coached by a moron..sooo they got no value. What can be expected?

You cant trade non of the team because none have any real value..you adding picks at this point just to get them off the team and thats not good..Just going to have to stick with what you have and bring value back to these players.

I really think people who are raging about no trades yet really underestimate our team and roster.

Ham was a genuinely awful coach, aside from literally just throwing away January with benching AR and DLO he threw away multiple games on top of that - and we still won 47 games. We also were plagued with injuries, Gabe/Vando/Wood were all out a ton. Even with Ham, the year prior, we got to the WCF. Why does everyone act like we're just a trash roster?

We do not need a major trade. We have a good roster and it looks like we're building a great coaching staff - if JJ pans out that's a huge upgrade on top of an already contending/close to contending team. That's not to mention, hopefully, Max being a much bigger contributor.

We need to make a couple small moves to round out the roster but we really aren't far off and we still have 3 FRP's.

Do you really believe DLO has no trade value?

Currently we have more than 15 roster spots available. Until the first game of the regular season, we have 20 roster spots I believe.

The best case scenario would have been making a trade that sent out more players than received which would create roster spot and then filled it with MLE signing.

Lets take a look at a inknown GM might do to reasearch a player:

Other GMs: "The Lakers are calling so lets actually look at some tape and see not just the number stats of the players but actual tape of play"

The GMs looks at the tape and sees the three guard lineup...pfft lmao!

Next the GMs see our 5 drop coverage defense with DLO not able to close out..MIND YOU NOBODY CAN....Why? Because NOBODY besides vando is able to really close out on the perimeter...because they not no young athletic team..smh.

Next the GMs look at how the media and fans really value the player outside of LBJ and AD....
....
....
...... Look at our player thread comments and media and reactors
of the games reviewing our other players...nuff said We
TRASH them and now expect something of Value?

The fans and Media crap over every player and NOW fans think that another GM should take what we have?

Until Jeanie is no longer the primary decision maker, Rob is of no consequence. If she was forced to move on from him, it would just be another underqualified loyalist without the resources to do a good job if they tried. The problem is above his pay grade.

Yup. That’s why this org needs an enema. I tyrant like CEO needs to come and just wreck everyone. Fire everyone and their mothers. Burn it all to the ground and rebuild it from the ground up. No more “consensus” building blah blah blah (bleep). A no nonsense good old fashioned ass kicking is what this organization needs.

And for whatever reason the media won’t touch her. They talk about her like she’s the queen of England. No one dares to even hint at her incompetence. Jim was ridiculed none stop.

Jeanie is a big part of the problem, for sure. But that doesn't excuse Pelinka's decision making or creativity. He knows the financial constraints he needs to work under. It's his job to find a way to make that work, and he hasn't.
