Yeah I agree, let’s be more constructive.
Anyone wanna run a welfare check by Rob’s place? We haven’t heard from dude since last offseason when he mostly ran it back anyways.
This new CBA must have dude in shambles. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

I feel the more constructive way of having a conversation about Rob is through what is your complaints about him NOW opposed to THEN.
We understand that he was inexperienced and had to learn on the job.
The conversation to me should be "have he learned?"
If the answer is "no," then lets discuss how he has not learned. |

I wish Rob had ran it back last off season lol! He got good marks from most fans and even the media but his moves looked like an obvious downgrade at the time to me and I called it as such.
I get that mostly ran it back is looking at starters Dlo/AR/LBJ/Rui/AD plus Vando/MaxC but everyone else was switched out and that’s more than half the team.
IMO, just bringing back Schroeder instead of Vincent, and the Lakers win lol! Well, maybe not, the coaching of Ham was gonna block it anyway at some point.
For being more constructive, I’d like to see Rob operate more from a perspective where holes on the team are addressed instead of getting sidetracked by big names. This would prevent missing out due to the distractions of situations like Klay/DeRozan and would allow the focus to be on acquisitions to fill gaps in the roster like Valanciunas/Caruso. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. So you can give up all your assets for someone that plays 30 games? |
No one said anything about all your assets, but yes, I'd like someone who is good at basketball and actually plays both sides of the court |

I ran out any hope for this guy when he offered 4yr/80mil to washed Klay Thompson. Trading Dlo(elite 3 shooting+playmaking-terrible defense) AND additional asset for KT(elite 3pt shooting+movement shooting-bad defense/attitude) for 4 more years doesn't slove any of our existing roster problem. Penlika really doesn't get it. |

He's done what he does best. Hire and fire coaches and blame/scapegoat others.
If you believe Magic Johnson, Lakers co-GOAT with Kobe.
Pelinka has backstabbed/scapegoated:
Magic
Luke Walton
Frank Vogel
Darvin Ham
All just in the AD era.
So the main move he's sold Jeanie on, seems to be that the coaching was the problem. |

Sounds like the owner at my company. How can we get it done for cheap?

@wolf: Thanks for reminding me…that’s right, dude did wake from his laurels a bit for our recent coaching pursuit and let’s not forget how that went…woof!🤮
I do believe Magic..we better watch our backs, cause this guy ain’t it! Jeanie should have never forced these dudes to play together. Had she just put Magic into a figurehead role within our bball ops, where dude could hire his own people, maybe Riles gets back into the building! But nope, it ended up being just Rob and appropriately we gotta look back to THEN to see if he’s really learned anything NOW.

If the answer is "no," then let’s discuss how he has not learned. |
What doesn’t make sense is this narrative that he’s learned & grown as of late. Has he tho? Sycophants of Kobe…I understand that…but of this guy tho? Pardon me as I groan…sick of fan’s fantasies, cause he’s learned nothing from then to now.
In 2019, when dude first came into making unilateral decisions, how went our coaching pursuit then? Lukewarm…or should I say Luekwarm? Five years later, our coaching pursuit was a hot stinking mess….puke inducing…or should I say that it made must of us wanna Hurl.
Then…he foolishly chased a recent champion allstar, who happened to be a 2way player known as a unique fun guy, but folks had to manage expectations due to his painful degenerative conditions. That ended up being kawhite the summer.
Now…building on that, or should I say, scaffolding the wreckage of that experience, this summer, he foolishly pursued a similar player that was also a former allstar/champion with an unique personality, but again whiffed as another team klaymed him.
Forget about him…the question should be, have we learned from dude’s mistakes? Has Jeanie grown tired of dude continuously draggin’ her franchise? Hopefully she steps into her Queen of Dragons role that Kobe affectionately titled her with, so that she can finally fire Kob’s guy. _________________ Not familiar with the salary cap/CBA rules & how it impacts our Lakers?

Was reading an article about how OKC/Presti gave all of their signings (Hartestein, Joe, Wiggins) team options.
Pelinka would never _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |
