trading him to a instant contender is mistreating him? trade him to Charlotte Hornets or Wizards will be labeled as such.

I agree. It doesn’t have to be a vicious break-up. Send him to the right team. Give him a chance to win and make our team better at the same time.

Why should this piss anyone off? It’s a win-win as far as I’m concerned. If anything it shows the league that we did right by him.

Maybe a mistreatment if he didn’t ask to be traded but FO wants to trade him anyways.

I dont see anything wrong if he ask to be traded and they do right by sending him to the team he prefers.

Just curious how you think Lebron is messing up the team?

He was the primary driver of the Westbrook trade.

Sucks Lakers won’t even gain anything close to $40-$50m in capspace.

Yeah but it won't affect you as you will be following him to his next destination whether as player or owner buying Las Vegas.

Still won’t stop me from watching and following the Lakers. I’ll be here posting even after he leaves.

LeBron caught lying in 4K again after boasting that the pass he made to Davis was intentional instead of a fumble that landed in Davis's hands

LeBron has been reasonably great for the Lakers. He's still one of the best weapons in the league on offense with his scoring and play-making. He's stayed healthy so far and hasn't had too bad of a slump at any point.

I can't ever be too mad at the guy for his limitations because he's already beating the odds by still being an all-NBA level player at his age.

I wish the Lakers had steadily improved the supporting cast over time from the 2020 season onward. They could've been where the Clippers are right now, or at least something closer to it.

The giant drop-off can happen at any point. He's already supposed to be a scrub at his age. That's why it's been so agonizing watching this front office completely blunder building up this team for a few more runs in LeBron's twilight years.

LeBron's a GOAT, but I've never seen a GOAT level player so insecure about controlling his narrative, even if he has to lie.

“A lion should not concern himself with the opinion of sheep.”

LeBron a lion in sheep's cotton panties and bra.

Feeling the need to take credit for everything even the obvious mistakes and using them to brag, speaks of insecurity or narcissism. That is indeed true.

It’s too bad his teams haven’t been great. Honestly, the Lebron era has been a huge disappointment.

Comparatively, we had Wilt for his last 5 years. 4 out of 5 seasons we were in the Finals. I think the 1972 Lakers were the greatest in our team’s history. 69 wins. 33 straight wins. Dominant playoff run against Chicago, Milwaukee (won the previous year), the two time champ New York Knicks. First title in LA.

Wilt also had Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich and the great coach Bill Sharman...

They also didn't suffer multiple seasons of injuries to their two top players. Only Baylor got injured towards the end and it ended up being a blessing in disguise because his "addition by subtraction" allowed the Lakers to play a different style and finally win the championship.

I feel like the Lebron era has run its course. It just our luck the wheels fell off (durability wise) the very first season he came. He was still good enough to help us win a title but he’s just not a guy we can pay 50 mil a year to when he’s not an mvp level player anymore.

My worry is if he walks this summer, AD might leave when his contract is up. My other worry is he stays for the money and he and the FO are content with having meh regular seasons and only having a punchers chance in the post season.

People have short memories.

Gasol can thru a trade. And AD is ONLY here because he forced his way out to be with his bff Lebron. I’m willing to bet if Lebron and AD aren’t here, no big time free agent will come for awhile

Of course they won’t, at least not until they are over 30. The CBA pretty much guarantees that, young star FAs are crazy to turn down the mega contracts that their drafting teams can offer them.

I think there’s something here:

Quote:
The Return of 2020 LeBron “King of Assists” James

2020 was the season LeBron led the league in Assists which also coincided with a Championship.

This team at least offensively is more versatile than 2020, LeBron could easily lead the league in assists again, and possibly unlock the full potential of this team… maybe a chip too.

Judging by the game thread you would think he was jocking up shots and turning the ball over every possession.

Then you look at the stat sheets... Only 13 shots and 2 turnovers tonight.

So many people on this forum WANT Lebron to be source of all our issues (and I’m sure there’s a few that firmly believe that)

Lebron isn’t top 5 in assists.
