Crazy to me there are people who dont appreciate this dude as a player. Say whatever you want off the court. But on the court this dude is ridiculous at 40 year old even.

It's like saying you dont appreciate watching Messi play football.

22 years and still great is insane longevity that wont ever be duplicated again.

If Luka can help keep him fresh along with no lingering injuries he can still be a top 5 player in the World during the Playoffs for sure imo. It really is insane though, even the defense looks nice when he turns that on.

In 31 minutes. Lower minutes LeBron = high effort LeBron on both ends.

I agree with that. What i really want to see and i've stated it numerous times.

I want the US olympics team lebron

That version makes this team a legit contender.

A general on defense and an overall swiss army knife type of player.

Love what im seeing.

they are going to have to either win it all or, at least, go very deep in the playoffs...lebron seemed very subdued and obviously uncomfortable during the postgame interview in the locker room...

when asked if he still saw himself finishing his career in LA, he said "i'm here now."

Everything in his post game conference is what you would want to hear. He knows this is his best shot at another ring.

Felt like he’s more trying to toe the line between being hopeful for what’s to come and showing respect to AD, who he was close with.

I agree with that as well haha

I was saying the same thing since we made the trade. If we get that version of him with Luka just simply being.. Luka we're going to be an absolute nightmare for anyone especially if the surrounding cast keeps showing the same 2 way effort even if the shots aren't falling like Tonight. Thankfully we still have a good amount of time to work on chemistry now.

It almost feels like we traded for an entire different massive aura upgrade along with Luka. The offense and defense moves so smoothly now and that's without him.

I think if that happens... Rob this time will be the one acting in good faith with Nico...

Here's the locker room interview where he kind of answered everything...

I can't imagine what went down in that conversation between him and AD... Probably all kind of emotions. You can see clearly what AD meant to him.

I really enjoyed just watching Bron tonight.

I enjoyed him in New York, but just being able to appreciate his greatness as a basketball player without fearing what he'd do next as LeGm was such a relief.

I think if he just plays the next few years without pressuring for trades, he'll gain a lot more affection from the Lakers fanbase.

Reminded me of that game Kobe had immediately after we had gotten Pau. Just giddy and super relaxed. Masterful.

I think he looks pretty hurt. I am not saying he isn't looking forward to Luka. I think he is, but things massively changed over night. He is also smart enough to know the Lakers have to do what they had to do.

1 month ago he said he wanted to retire a Laker. Tonight he was asked if he felt the same way and he said "I am here right now". Not as definitive as before even though he mentioned he is committed to the team.

I think he is trying not to fully show how hurt he is. I also think time can heal that wound if both sides want that. If it wasn't repairable he would have requested a trade. I also am not sure what his reaction would have been if his son was not on the team. Requesting a trade is a little different when your son is involved in all of this.

"post Lebron"? What's that? What's "post Lebron"?

Dude is still balling like an all-star yet people keep saying "post-Lebron" like he's not gonna be with us in two years. I don't care if he's 50 or 60 but if he still plays like he's 30, then why move on from him? For what? for whom?

He's still one of the best and consistent performers in the playoffs. You could almost guarantee he's going to give you great contributions in the playoffs. There's no one in the world you could say that about. I'm amazed he's actually getting better and having so much energy. Maybe it's because Bronny being on the team gave him newfound motivations but yea, there's no post-Lebron. "Post-Lebron" could be 5 or 10 years from now so that term is irrelevant right now.

Because 3-4 posters in this forum seem to think Lebron will hold Luka back from being luka.

He never held back Kyrie did he? He never held back AD?

Great players find a way to make it work.

And make no doubt Luka Magic is the greatest player Lebron has ever played with. Luka leading this team alongside Lebron should be showtime.
