I mean, both are lame as hell. When down 7 in a crucial playoff game donāt be all jokey and buddy-buddy with your opponent whoās busting your ass and about to send you packing in the 1st round.
When you lose, be mad all you want, but show some sportsmanship and stay behind congratulating and shaking hands with the opposing team. |

I seen him walkout early in both wins and losses⦠Itās also rare to see teams shake hands at the end of games in the middle of a playoffs series. Usually does it when someone already won the series.
Lebron is 20+ years in⦠He still wants to win championships but I donāt think is that serious for him at this stage. I think heās just enjoying himself out there knowing his career is ending soon. Also does not mean he donāt want to compete. |

Nobody here is talking about middle of a playoffs series. He has a history of doing it at the end of series after heās been eliminated. And at that point the whole ārushing to get treatment ācause Iām 40ā doesnāt fly. |

I live in Eastern Time zone, have so for many many years, CC.
With my kids schedule and work, I tend to be up at 5 AM (2 AM LA time).
One thing I really prefer about the Lakers in the playoffs is that the games begin earlier.
I can watch them without sacrificing too much sleep.
One of my go to routines is a cup of coffee and lurk/post on LG. I feel weird without doing it. This is like family now.

BTW just wanna go back to whole HCA/Kobe never lost in round 1 with HCA argument.
If you look at the gap between Memphis and OKC, that was closer to our round 1 opponents in the Kobe/Shaq or Kobe/Pau eras. We really were a lot better than the teams we would face. We regularly would win at .700 to .800 in the RS.
The Lakers team won 50 games, while the 7th seed in the West won 49. Heck, even Memphis won 48.
The only really dominant RS team in the West was OKC and by no surprise they swept round 1.
Houston with HCA is down 1-2 vs State. Nuggets with HCA are locked in a 2-2 battle and were down 1-2.
The gap between teams 2nd through 7th just isn't there. As I said in a post previously, we went to the WCF as a 7th seed 2 years ago and last year Luka Magic led the Mavs to the Finals without HCA in round 1 (5th seed). |

The West during Kobeās era regularly had 8th seeds that were 50 win teams. Also all the teams you used as examples made significant changes during the trade deadlines, so they were essentially different teams than they were during the first half of the season. Someone makes a disparaging comment about Kobe in comparison to LeBron and all context goes out the window. When the roles are reversed dudes write thesis-long essays in defense of LeBron. |

I'm open to moving on from him, but I think he'll be here because of his player option and no-trade clause.
With that in mind, I think the Lakers need to build up a good supporting cast that minimizes the reliance on him. He just can't go for mid to high 20s while being the main perimeter defender anymore. |

Not if JJ plays him 46 minutes and no rest in the 2nd half. He started off pretty bouncy.
But 5 guys got overplayed by JJ and we had no legs after the third. |

Dude literally had 18fts this game. He drove by players plenty.
Dont expect someone to drive when they play the entire second half.
Did you see Luka? He could barely move being so tired. JJ ran both of them into the ground. |

Blame Pelinka for not having a backup. In both games LeBron faded towards the end of the 4th. Heās 40 years old, they are asking too much of him. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

And we can't trust him to play a lot of regular season games again. Ifnhe can't do that, like play 70 games we are going to be in play in territory.
As our second best player. Taking that percentage of salary I don't see him playing 70 games again _________________ Previously Knecht4 and CamReddish |

Sure it does. Kawhi makes the top Salary on the Clippers, and there is no replacement for him. Clippers can't win if he sits. In the 3 close games in like that series he played 40 min and they still lost 2. The Lakers can't sustain Lebron as their 2nd star in that salary if they can play him the required minutes. Too many young teams where there players can go all game _________________ Previously Knecht4 and CamReddish |

I thought LeBron was the least of our problems. Yeah, that pull-up three and the botched inbound pass hurt us, but we aren't in the game without him, his elite FT-drawing and All-NBA defense. I don't know what more you can expect from the oldest player in the league. He's been tremendous, too bad we couldn't capitalize and win one. |
