If you think Kobe is better than Lebron I support you. If you think Lebron is better than Kobe, I support you too. This debate is worn out. Both are great…let’s just appreciate both.
You can think one is better without trashing the other to all you Kobe and Lebron fans.
In 2008, 23 year old Lebron with a mediocre supporting cast outplayed Kobe in his series against the Celtics and forced a down to the wire 7 game series while prime Kobe lost in 6. Prime Lebron with Gasol instead of Illgauskas' corpse certainly beats the Celtics.
Give prime Kobe Wade and Bosh and he won't loose to the 2011 Mavs like LeBron did pulling a weird disappearing act that confounds even his own fans to this day. See? Anybody can play that stupid "replace this guy with that guy" game and shape a narrative.
He's probably having one of his best start of the season for the past decade.
He is in a groove right now. The efficiency is off the charts. Except for FT and Turnovers off course. But 3 steals tonight and I believe he is 2nd on the team in steals behind Cam.

Lebron physically looks amazing. That dunk he had down the lane was surprising, you don’t want to see him empty the tank early in the season but he looks awesome right now. Just have to keep him healthy.

At least they won a couple of games, unlike the Kobe-led defending champion Lakers with Gasol and Bynum who got swept by that same Mavs team the same year..

I blame Pau the most for 2011. Not Kobe's fault Pau decided to lay an egg throughout that whole playoffs. You can say Drew who played well cancels out Bosh and Kobe cancels out Wade but then you are left with Bron vs Pau and as awful as Bron was in the Dallas series, Pau was that much worse, downright horrific throughout that whole playoffs.
Kobe can do no wrong in some people's eyes. I used to be in that place when I was younger, but can look back at his legacy without the fanboy lens now. He's one of the GOATs at the end of the day (easily Top 10 all-time), so who cares anymore, but it's telling that any argument for pushing him into the MJ (#1) or Lebron (#2) tier is based on what ifs and pushing his intangible strengths, because the numbers just don't support it.
Back on topic...no more words left to react to what this dude is doing at this age. He's shooting 59% from the field averaging 26 POINTS A GAME. As a perimeter player. Shooting 6 threes a game. It just doesn't make sense anymore...
I love how this man is playing, but this is getting ridiculous now. We can’t play him 36-40 minutes every game. It might be time to do some load management. (bleep) Ham has to figure out something on offense

I don’t blame Ham 1 bit for over-riding LeBron, AD can’t play with finesse bigs who bang down low, Russell needs to provide more offense, I wouldn’t be surprised if some talk of trading pops up for AD at some point this season I’m dead serious, I’m giving it a good chance DLO gets traded, LeBron needs more help

His body can’t take it, we just can’t do it for longer.

It’s because the surrounding parts are pretty average, Reaves has a good game and then Russell lays an egg, Prince doesn’t look like a BAE player, Wood looks like he belongs in China, I feel bad for LeBron
