Thanks, NBA.com, for compiling these. I used to go to each website over the years and have to find them. I will update these as the sites continue to update them as well.

1. Atlanta Hawks — Donovan Clingan, 7-2, 280 U. of Connecticut.
Perhaps why there’s been so many rumors about so many potential No. 1 picks. Since the lottery last month, the consensus top pick has been one of the French guys, Zaccharie Risacher or Alex Sarr. But with Clint Capela rumored in trade, Onyeka Okongwu too slight for the middle as we saw against the Bulls in the play-in, and the Hawks without a lot of their future draft picks from the Dejounte Murray trade, a young project player doesn’t make sense. Clingan isn’t quite Karl-Anthony Towns, but he’s huge, has moved better and is closer to helping whomever remans between Murray and Trae Young.
2. Washington Wizards — Alexandre Sarr, 7-0, 225, Perth/France.
They do have time since they’re probably half a decade from the play-in. Sarr had been an early top projection with size and athletic ability at 19 years old, but he declined to work out for the Hawks. Looks like Trae’s reputation for waving his man through got overseas. Size is a good start and they need to start somewhere.
3. Houston Rockets — Stephon Castle, 6-6, 210. U of Connecticut.
Kentucky uncanny shooter Reed Sheppard has gotten the most mention here, but Ime Udoka prioritizes defense and as much as they need shooting (as most everyone but Boston does) it’s hard to see Houston with a 6-foot-1 defensively challenged guard who looks like a reserve. It’s why there’s been some interesting speculation about trading with Memphis for tough guy Marcus Smart, whom Udoka used to coach in Boston. If not, Castle fits the mold with size, defensive desire and Fred VanVleet is 30.
4. San Antonio Spurs — Zaccharie Risacher, 6-9, 200 France.
The U.S. can be a lonely place, so a friend for Wemby? He’s been projected in most mock drafts as the No.1 pick, a long, athletic, though being a project is sort of the problem for a team that indicated a commitment to expedite Wembanyama’s winning process. Probably too potentially talented to pass up.
5. Detroit Pistons — Matas Buzelis, 6-9, 200, G League Ignite.
The Hinsdale product via Lithuania has all that good stuff with versatility, shooting, athleticism. The problem with the Pistons and who knows with now new management and coaching staff and a demand from the owner to finally improve is how they can do it with another baby, albeit talented. Maybe Zach LaVine? It’s another pick that probably will be in play, though this isn’t a draft with teams knowing who’s worth giving up stuff for. It’s so confusing my prepositions are even going wild.
6. Charlotte Hornets — Dalton Knecht, 6-6, 215, U. of Tennessee.
He seems as certain as perhaps anyone in this draft as maybe not a star prospect, but a natural shooter and scorer who’ll fit in anywhere and make shots. The Hornets also have a new staff and similar to Detroit a community that needs some reward. They’re slowly adding talent and need shooting like you know, everyone, though LaMelo Ball’s health remains their pivot point.
7. Portland Trailblazers — Cody Williams, 6-6, 180 U. of Colorado.
They’re a hard to figure team with no apparent direction, though Jerami Grant may finally be on the way out. So Williams would be a reasonable wing replacement. They’re still sort of a schoolyard team and you wonder how long a run Chauncey Billups has there.
8. San Antonio Spurs — Reed Sheppard, 6-3, 180, U. of Kentucky.
The Spurs need shooting around Wembanyama, and Sheppard’s got the best percentages in the draft. He’d generally been speculated as a top three to five selection, so he’d make sense here. And a defender like Wembanyama can cover up for his on ball weaknesses, though with quick hands he gets steals like Chris Paul.
9. Memphis Grizzlies — Kel’el Ware, 7-0, 230, Indiana U.
This is a stretch for this first round, though as everyone reminds everyone we all have little idea who’ll eventually project higher. The Grizzlies are loaded with returning guards and wings, but have almost no one inside other than Jaren Jackson. Some of the mock drafts have Ware into the late 20s and some into the late teens. And if he’s not Edey huge, he’s mobile and perhaps vital support for Jackson.
10. Utah Jazz — Nikola Topic, 6-6, 205, Serbia.
Without the ACL injury, he was a top three to five pick for this draft as an impressive scoring point guard. The Jazz isn’t overtaking anyone in the loaded Western Conference and badly need a point guard, so he’s probably worth the wait.
11. Chicago Bulls — Devin Carter, 6-3, 195, Providence.
Once Alex Caruso was traded, he instantly made the most sense. There’s been noise about him and the Bulls and an alleged promise since the Combine in May. He’s not Caruso, but he does those things, defending with relentless abandon with an improving distance shot. Sure, the Bulls need size, but he could grow well with their new guard core.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder — Ron Holland, 6-7, 200 G League Ignite.
They like those big, athletic, switchable players and he’s a plus with good defense. He can add to a stable of impressive young athletes, though they still could use more shooting. OK, just ditto that for every team.
13. Sacramento Kings — Zach Edey, 7-4, 300, Purdue.
Did anyone say they need size and defense? Not sure about his defense in the wild wide open West, and perhaps a chance to trade since the Trailblazers even with Deandre Ayton are said to covet Edey but unsure about taking him with the No. 7 pick. Domantas Sabonis can’t do it alone.
14. Portland Trailblazers — Tidjane Salaun, 6-9, 200, France.
More from that French connection as the NBA is continuing to appreciate that French cuisine. He’s another who can cook in that profile of long and athletic, and perhaps just a best available here in their hodge podge of a roster.
15. Miami Heat — Rob Dillingham, 6-1, 165, U. of Kentucky.
After Kyle Lowry, he won’t look much bigger but better. We know Jimmy Butler wants to hang onto the ball, but Dillingham is more of the point guard they need and a good shooter who’ll work to become cultured.
16. Philadelphia 76ers — Jared McCain, 6-2, 205, Duke.
With pretty much no one on the payroll but Embiid and Maxey they could go in many directions. So default to shooting to continue to surround Embiid, who needs to get inside more. And if they have more shooters maybe he’ll avoid so many threes.
17. Los Angeles Lakers — Ja’Kobe Walter, 6-5, 200, Baylor.
Though we’ve heard this LeBron off the ball stuff before as the new coach suggested, but believe it when we see it and all that. LeBron always needs shooters around him, and assuming he’s seen enough of his son this guy will make some shots.
18. Orlando Magic — Isaiah Collier, 6-3, 205, USC.
Said to personally know Bronny. They’ve stumbled around trying to find a playmaking guard, though their forwards do most of the facilitating. He’s a physical player who’ll defend and another guy worth a look at the point.
19. Toronto Raptors — Bub Carrington, 6-4, 200, U. of Pittsburgh.
Scottie Barnes is going to have the ball for them, but Carrington can be in support at the point as a tough shotmaker and playmaker.
20. Cleveland Cavaliers — Tyler Kolek, 6-1, 200, Marquette.
An older, senior player who can fit in with the rumors that they’ll look to trade Darius Garland and invest in Donovan Mitchell. He’s more ready to play with good shooting range.
21. New Orleans Pelicans — Terrence Shannon Jr., 6-6, 220. U. of Illinois.
You get the feeling someone may get a steal given the uncertainty regarding him with the since disposed of court case. They’re in for some changes, but he’s more ready to play and fits with the likes of Herb Jones with the toughness they want to bring to the game.
22. Phoenix Suns — Tyler Smith, 6-9, 225, G League Ignite.
They’re got the scorers and the shooters, so they need size. He’s also more on the offensive side, but that should mean plenty of opportunities considering his teammates.
23. Milwaukee Bucks — Tristan Da Silva, 6-8, 220, U. of Colorado.
He’s an excellent shooter with size who could play off Giannis, Lillard and Middleton. Could be a replacement for Bobby Portis if they’re in the trade market.
24. New York Knicks — Ryan Dunn, 6-6, 215 U. of Virginia
He’s defense and that’s Thibs. Some scouts label him the best defender in the draft class, though a poor shooter. But who knows with all those draft picks flying around from the Tuesday late night trade involving Mikal Bridges.
25. New York Knicks — Kyshawn George, 6-7, 210, U. of Miami.
Sort of coming to the best available category, though the Knicks picks are in play and you know they aren’t using multiple firsts from this draft. He’s a late comer to this draft with improved shooting and a good upside project.
26. Washington Wizards — Yves Missi, 6-11, 230 Baylor.
You could probably pencil them in (does anyone use pencils anymore?) for about anyone. So why not the size, and their top pick is the more athletic. Missi emphasizes the defense to provoke the misses.
27. Minnesota Timberwolves — Baylor Scheierman, 6-6, 205, Creighton.
He’s an older player who’d fit Minnesota’s ready-to-contend model with a reliable shot.
28. Denver Nuggets — DaRon Holmes, 6-9, 235 Dayton.
Why do I start humming when I think about him, Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Perhaps the Nuggets will with their need for at least backup front court size and a feeling that they need to meet him on a Monday and have their heart stand still.
29. Utah Jazz — Johnny Furphy, 6-8, 190, U. of Kansas.
A good shooting prospect who began gaining attention from teams and was projected higher.
30. Boston Celtics — Kyle Filipowski, 6-11, 230 Duke.
More of a perimeter big man who can make shots and fits the Boston style like an Al Horford replacement, eventually.
