I still question whether DLo has the maturity to be a leader or can remain injury free but the guy puts in the work in the off-season. He's improved every year since he came in the league. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

There's been no maturity issues since as a Net, he has his act more than together now. That trade was the best for both the Lakers & DLo in the long run. Sean Marks & Kenny Atkinson have raved about DLo every chance they get. He's even taken rookie D.Musa under his wing.
Right on, his defensive effort has really surprised me. He's always had the length and awareness, but his effort on that end has been impressive. Hopefully it carries over into the regular season. _________________ Under New Management
I am still a huge fan of the kids game. He has been looking good in the preseason. Whether he is a "leader" or not, kid can ball. If he can stay healthy, I'm predicting he'll have a great season. _________________ Music is my medicine
I'll be watching Russell this year. It's a contract year, so I want to see what he does with it. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest

I was a big fan, but I think I would be annoyed with two guys on the roster with hair flopping like that. When I played, I had a superstition with my hair, it had to be aerodynamic. LOL!

I liked his potential as a rookie, but he was still shooting 40-41% in his second year and didn't improve overall, so I realized that he probably wouldn't be that good.

A few guys have broken out after similar starts - Kemba Walker most noticeably even after spending three years in college - but there are a lot more guys who never improve much beyond that low threshold. So we'll see if DLo is more Kemba or Brandon Knight this season. _________________ Under New Management

DLO has had a number of injuries, but overall he's been pretty much the same player in each of his three years. If he's ever going to become anything more than he's shown, this will have to be the year. He'll put up good scoring numbers because he'll get a ton of shots. But will he become a player that inspires anything more than a shrugging, "He's OK." Not sure.
I don't see how anyone could make a strong case that he's in the upper half of the league's point guards right now.
He had a very good preseason by any measure and if he can avoid injury, he could have a great year. He started last year well, but the injury really derailed that effort.
Still pulling for this kid. Has the talent, just has to consistently show it out there and avoid the injury bug. _________________ Make the Lakers Great Again
I am rooting for him too. Hope this thread won't be filled with negativity like last year now that we are gonna be good with Lebron. He's away from the LA limelight and hope he has a good year & get a good deal. _________________ Showtime 2.0
