Another tear jerker from The Last Of Us tonight. I definitely got chocked up in episode 3 and tonight’s episode 8. Next week will be the season finale at episode 9 I think.

Joel got well fast. Went from death bed to killer with a lot of strength quick, fast and in a hurry. I was wondering why he was killing the people he did. I was with the preacher until cannibalism was introduced. Ellie is a badass. It's not a fast moving series but it's captivating. Looking forward to the finale.

Haven't been watching Last of Us, but given everyone's comments. I can tell where they are in the first game's story.
Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts after the finale. Hopefully they stick the landing the same way the game did.

With that said, Snowfall has taken the crown of best show on TV from Servant after episode 3 of this season.

history of the world 2 is ok. Certainly a genre I like and mel Brooks is a god. A bit over the top so far but I laugh.

Loosly based on the life of Ricky Donnell "Freeway Rick" Ross. He seems to be doing well since his release from prison. I'm watching the 2015 two-part documentary Freeway: Crack in the System featuring Rick Ross. If you have Prime Video watch it. Damson Idris really sounds like Rick Ross. LINK

EDIT; Finished part 1. It's eye opening.

Looks like there's only 1 part. It's 1:43 minutes. I thought it was 2 parts.

Will probably get the 2023 #1 spot for me. And it's only March.

I LOVE me some Servant. But nothing compares to Snowfall right now.

It just dawned on me, Pedro Pascal, The Last Of Us, is the Mandalorian.

And he guested on Hot Ones recently, the most impressive show of the three

Also... I watched Severance a little while back. That's my favorite show that I've seen in a hot minute. I have more confidence in this mystery box-style show delivering more than I have in Yellowjackets, but both do have the potential to go a little off-the-rails. Severance is absolutely can't-miss TV, I was so instantly hooked and the cast rocks. Apple TV has a lot of great shows cooking right now.

Before it was revealed he was the Mandalorian, I thought it was Timothy Olyphant from the old "Deadwood" series.

The season finale was okay. HBO Max also released a behind the scenes documentary of the making of the show that gave me a real appreciation of the details of what it takes to make the show.

I haven't played the game, so I didn't know actress Ashley Johnson did the voice for Ellie. Her looks are so similar to Bella Ramsey I thought the opening of last night's episode was of Ellie in the future.

She looked so much like her it was crazy

The guy who got the cleaver in the neck in the previous episode was Joel in the game, too, Troy Baker.

Is anybody watching “Your Honor” with Bryan Cranston? I’m thinking about adding showtime for this show and to watch Everything Everywhere All at Once.

I'm watching Your Honor. I don't think it is enough on its own to order showtime. It should be an 8-9 out of 10 show with its cast.
But something is off on its execution. Knocks it down to a 7-8. Maybe its the editing is bad or the pacing is a bit too slow. Tough to put my finger on why its not as good as it should be.

That’s disappointing to hear. Slow pace is the one that gets me because I was planning to watch while doing cardio. I think I’m going to do Sons Of Anarchy next then. I never got around to watching it. That should keep me busy for a while.

Ted Lasso premiere is out tonight. Wasn't a fan of season 2. But the premiere for season 3 was great!

Haven't seen it. I hear season one is pretty solid but it takes a step back in season 2. But I'm jumping on here to say that if you need that extra push to add Showtime for a bit, definitely check out Yellowjackets. Crazy first season that's ramping up for season 2 in a few weeks, so you have time to catch up.

Anyone watching Perry Mason, HBO? Perry was a detective before he was a lawyer. Series introduces Della Street, Hamilton Burger, and Paul Drake. I won't reveal how their characters are portrayed in the HBO series except to say Paul Drake is Black. They're nothing like those in the old series. The series is in no way like the Perry Mason series most of us are familiar with. I've watched season 1 and the first 2 episodes of season 2. I like what I've seen so far. Give it a peek.

The Oval has a great plot but lousy writters and actors. The plot keeps me hooked.

I agree. Love me some Perry Mason.
I'm pretty neutral on noir genre stuff. I maybe even slightly dislike the genre in general.
But the way that show executes noir. It's spectacular.
