Watched The Perfect Couple. Easy, enjoyable watch. Crushed 6 episodes with the wife over the course of a weekend. Not amazing but solid.

Watching Nobody Wants This. Has its moments. I love Adam Brody (by the way Startup is an incredibly underrated show) but I’m a bit cold on Kristen Bell. I’m not sure why, just never been a big fan. Apparently it’s based on a true story and they casted her because she’s very similar to the real life person. Again, has its moments but I find myself getting bored. The women seem to love it though.

Can’t wait to binge Tulsa King. I love that show and idk why. It is indeed corny.

Started Bad Monkey on Apple+. 1.5 episodes in. I’m into it. Florida scenery, Natalie Martinez, what’s not to like? Another nice “easy” watch.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Old Man, will bank the rest for later until the season ends.

Same thing with Penguin.

Watched first 3 episodes of the Penguin. Best thing on TV right now. It's based off comic book characters but it is NOT a comic book show. Writing is brilliant...somehow the Penguin is a sympathetic figure. May as well give Colin Farrell the Emmy...it's a wrap. Hope they can stick the landing.

"They don't give out awards for dying in the projects."

"[If] you think you're nothing, you are nothing. Till the day you die".

Good shows have messages that transcend the story they are telling.

It's a shame the show had to be tied to an IP (Batman) to get green-lit. And some people who are worn out of comic book stuff will hold that against it.

But I'm not one of those people. That's a knock on the industry. Not the show. The show is good.

Just finished apple tv resumed innocent… it’s ok, kinda predictable and they tried to pigeon hole the characters too hard (too annoying, etc). Could be done better

You predicted Jaden was the killer. Came out of nowhere for me.

Didn’t predict her but it was obvious the twist was a known person did it but not Rusty. It’s ok I guess, just felt it could’ve been a much better series

Shrinking, The Shrink Next Door, Hijack, Slow Horses, Black Bird. Severance is good but not a show you can rush through imo too slow.

Anyone herein mention Slow Horses? I don't recall any mention so I'll say I just finished season 3 and it is EXCEPTIONAL.

Season 1 was OK to good; I got through it but it took awhile. Season 2, better and it went faster but I wasn't jumping up and down to start Season 3. Considering Season 4 has concluded, one can see I wasn't chomping at the bit for episodes or seasons--until now.

Slow Horses is about the MI-5 "B" team (called Slough House), but that would be a very low B. The group is a bit of a motley crew with some issues, but not totally incompetent. Gary Oldman is their leader and it took me awhile to enjoy the character, as, let's just say, he's not your leading man stereotype or typical protagonist--his edges are more than just a bit rough. The show has some real exciting moments with subtle humor throughout.

Glad you warmed up to it. Ya. I enjoy Slow Horses. There's a bit more action as the series progresswa. But it is more espionage than action.

I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys spy shows/movies, but is okay with not a lot of action.

Another show I’m saving. I think I watched an episode and a half. Was curious as to what kind of commitment is expected. Good to know it gets better with time, just have to get through the first season it seems.

I now finished season 4 and it is excellent as well. I was binging hard the last few episodes.

As for the first season, I'm thinking about returning to see how it registers a second time. My problems may say more about me than the show. I know I have difficulties with shows not featuring any "good guys". There is a character on Slow Horses I wanted to be a good guy, but he was not treated as such, and I guess I was disappointed. It is not that the characters are all bad guys; it's that they all are flawed. I think it just took me awhile to get to know these characters and appreciate them for who they were--both flawed and interesting. So now, I like the characters, but beyond the stories are complex, clever, exciting, and as kik said, full of espionage. Oh yeah, there is this anti-government, anti bureaucracy theme that may or may not be deserved, but it is fun seeing the rejects battling not only the bad guys but the "good' guys as well. And of course, Gary Oldmam is simply brilliant.

And so I did indeed go back and have re-watched an episode and a half of season 1. Still, NOT NEARLY what the show becomes.

Netflix. If you haven’t seen the first two seasons, I highly recommend them.
