Anthology?

Yep. Whole new case and cast.

Awesome. Tell your wife job well done

Thanks. That first season was astronomically hard and was almost a bust for reasons I won’t go into here. But ultimately, thanks to a core group of people including my wife (who is an insanely great producer, and I don’t say that as a gloating husband, there are a bunch of people in the industry who say the same) something really good was made.

That said, David E Kelley et al now have a really high bar to meet for season 2. 😀

I was late to the show and just watched the first six episodes over two nights--thinking the whole season had aired and now I must wait. Damn!

The next part is sorta a spoiler alert:

Normally I don't like shows where the protagonist is a (bleep) character, unless this person is a foil for another protagonist (and indeed we have an antagonist here as well), and though I don't like our protagonist here, I'm fully immersed in this story and chomping at the bit to know where this lands.

This had better not be another Undoing.

You should have heard our daughter's running commentary (yelled I might add) through out our watch.

I was also late to the series. I started watching it last night. I thought the whole series had aired. I'm with you ribeye, Damn! The next episode will air on 7/19/2024. I'm hooked. Good to know there will be a second season II. I hope the next 2 episodes live up to the first 6.
Can't wait. I'm gonna throw a guess in. I think the prosecutor Tommy Molto is the culprit.

I certainly don't know but I think, and you know how devious these producers can be*, that they steer you in a direction and then, outta nowhere, we find out who the killer is. I think it could be someone like the ex-husband and the son knows it and has tried to protect him, but I just guessing at how the misdirection could work.

*I probably should say, the writers here, but that wouldn't be as much fun, considering. . . .

Wow. I completely forgot about that show. Great news, not a bad preview.

FX? I guess I've got another one to figure out. Wasn't this on Hulu or HBO before?

I think so. I don't recall watching anything on FX since SOA.

Presumed Innocent ends next week. Rusty defending himself was a surprise. I thought Mya would step in and he'd 2nd chair. Both she and Horgan sat at the defense table. He gave a convincing testimony. Episode 7 had a lot of hints as to WhoDoneIt. I still have my money on Molto. Congrats to the Missis DMR. Great series. Looking forward to the finale and 2nd season.

Is anyone watching Furies? I just started. It's an underworld drama. The plot follows Lyna, a student who wants a normal life with her police officer boyfriend Élie. However, Lyna's parents are criminals, and when they're killed in a mob-related attack, she goes to jail for refusing to tell the police who did it. After her release, she begins searching for the killers, which leads her to Selma, the Fury, who wants Lyna to join her in keeping the peace between Paris's six major crime families. The Fury is looking for a successor to prevent an impending war between the city's criminal underworld

Yeah, my only problem was with the credits as I tried to see the female producer(s) name(s), and it shifted the credits to the right hand corner (smaller viewing) and zoomed by.

Indeed this was one of the better shows in awhile. It is a classic tragedy, dark (especially at the end, the very end, and the very very end), with the story's ancillary tragedy buried within the main story.

Loved the premise but felt like it was more suited to a tighter limited series.

Sorry you couldn't see it. If you want another mystery to solve, her first name is the same as the victim's.

David E. Kelley nailed this one. The last episode is particularly brilliant in it's writing. Between the two summations, the post verdict release and then the final scene where all is revealed . . . so many level of misdirection and ultimately a truly crushing reveal.

Again, for reasons I can't lay out here, this show almost imploded due to a ton of on set issues involving egos and clashes of personalities. It's a huge testimony to the talent and fortitude of a collection of people who kept it on the rails during production and salvaged it in post that in the end, something brilliant arose.

Gotta really agree with your point about the two summations. Both sold their side of the story so very well, and there was no steering to try to sway the viewers. By this and everything in the trial, though I leaned conviction, I thought it could be either verdict.

It's hard, when one is so invested in a story, to satisfy the viewer with any result--think Game of Thrones. Here, I kept saying to myself, where can this go to be satisfying. And of course, it went where I was not expecting, but was so very satisfying none the less. Again, the sub story is was made it for me, the winning but losing for our protagonist, and his family.

Currently enjoying Dark Matter on Apple Plus or whatever it’s called. I am about 4 episodes in..I’m sure it was posted about above but I missed it. Usually when I watch shows like these (sort of sci-fi/fiction/simulation) I get lost 20min in and turn it off. I’m able to follow along this one so I guess they’ve made it a bit idiot proof.

So, I don't recall if ever there was a discussion on Orphan Black, a very good series that maybe went on too long, but was a great concept, with Tatiana Maslany playing all these different characters so incredibly well. Now there is Orphan Black Echoes with Krysten Ritter (you know Jesse's girl done bad by Walt). This has a very broadly similar concept, but thus far, up through episode 5, which really gets this thing a-rollin', I like even more. And it gets better. As an actress, Krysten can have sass with the best of them, but her younger self is also quite the the spirited sass monster.

You learn right away that she is not human but was printed, yes like by 3-D printer but beyond, and we have to travel the fascinating journey to learn what this is all about.

it's terrible. I am a fan of his Podcast. I am a BJJ enthusiast as is my son, we roll ( when he was out here) with some of the same dudes, and his UFC commentary with DC and Anik is IMHO arguably the best sports broadcast team out there. So this is by no means coming from a hater.

His stand-up has always been suspect. It sells because of his other platforms and how he supports the stand-up world.

He gets cheap laughs because he digs into the extreme of social fodder. It's Alex Jones without the extremism. You can see he was nervous. It's not original and when compared to the Dave Chapelles of the world (who isn't old Dave) Joe is a bit out of touch. But he makes a ton of money and seems to be a pretty good guy regardless of differences.

I don't recommend it but you never know. Like all art its subjective.
