it's terrible. I am a fan of his Podcast. I am a BJJ enthusiast as is my son, we roll ( when he was out here) with some of the same dudes, and his UFC commentary with DC and Anik is IMHO arguably the best sports broadcast team out there. So this is by no means coming from a hater.
His stand-up has always been suspect. It sells because of his other platforms and how he supports the stand-up world.
He gets cheap laughs because he digs into the extreme of social fodder. It's Alex Jones without the extremism. You can see he was nervous. It's not original and when compared to the Dave Chapelles of the world (who isn't old Dave) Joe is a bit out of touch. But he makes a ton of money and seems to be a pretty good guy regardless of differences.
I don't recommend it but you never know. Like all art its subjective. |
I’ve watched a couple of his standups. Awful. What’s worse is his whole “we’re comedians” thing he does on his pod whenever comedians are on. Dude you’re not funny. Maybe the JRE subreddit has made me jaded (bunch of JRE pod fans that can’t stand him anymore) but I actually went into this with an open mind. Or did I? Shut it off after 5min.
Will go down as one of my fav podcasts but it has definitely fallen off a cliff - at least his standup has stayed consistently bad. |

He's a hack wanna be Sam Kinison. Dude Joe, yelling a terrible punchline doesn't make it funny.
His conversations with sharp witted comics like Harland Williams or Mark Normand are embarrassing to watch. These guys are throwing gems out left and right and this unfunny F--- can't pick up on any of it. _________________ KOBE |

Damn, lol, didn’t expect these reactions. I’ve listened to his podcasts. My fav so far is the one with David Choe and Graham Hancock/Randall Clarkson _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. Happy to have Umbrella Academy back. It's been too long.
The season started off enjoyable. But got worse and worse. It's for the best this the last season. _________________ When the world grows. Don't choose to stay the same.

Watch the podcast when Graham Hancock was on and debated an actual archaeologist in Flint Dibble. Hilarious watching Graham trip over himself in the face of actual evidence. There are funny ass memes people have made over that interview. Biggest charlatan to grace Rogan and that's saying a lot. _________________ KOBE |

Lol, u do go deep in the rabbit hole listening to Graham Hancock but I don’t dismiss his theory, the one thing that got me is that every culture has oral story about the big flood (predating religion story) and I like their explanation about the younger dryas impact wiping out previous advanced civilizations, the use of astronomy in those ancient megalith building in different continents… no hard proof to corroborate or dispute, theory vs theory _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. I couldn't sit through "Burn The Boats." Poor delivery, bad timing, jokes with bad punch lines, and what sounded like canned laughter. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I'm watching Loudermilk. Someone compared the bittersweet vibe to Mr. Inbetween.
Only an episode in. Not bad. Doesn't have the action element of Mr. Inbetween. But it's not bad. _________________ When the world grows. Don't choose to stay the same. |

Bel-Air season 3 has started. Marlon Waynes has an all-access pass to The Fountain of Youth. No way he is over 50 years old. |

Yeah. It felt really rushed and unfocused.

The creator Christopher Storer planned for it to be a 3 season arc. But due to the shows popularity. FX pushed him to make it 4.
And it shows up in this season. It's alot of set up for next season. |
I loved the first two seasons and it's one of my favorite shows of all time, but season 3 is inexplicable. I don't want to spoil it too much, but what the (bleep) was that? I just finished it last night and I think the whole season can reasonably be described as a waste of time. No show is perfect and almost every show in history has had a run of bad episodes or even a bad season and that's okay, but this whole season 3 didn't need to happen. You're giving it too much credit if you call it as a setup for season 4. Nothing happened that is of any consequence except (spoiler coming) Natalie had a baby or is about to have a baby.
It probably wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that half of the scenes were flashbacks, many of them confusing in terms of when they happened or what purpose they had, much of it obscured by loud music playing the whole time and no dialogue going on. No character development occurred. No one wants to make a decision about anything significant. We had an entire episode devoted to the closing of someone else's restaurant and a bunch of real life chefs talking about what it's like to be a chef with terrible acting (not a surprise since none of them are professional actors).
I usually don't get upset about this stuff, but I literally wasted 6 hours of my life waiting for something to happen and nothing happened. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid! |

Thanks for the heads up. I'd forgotten about Bel-Air. I'm caught up. Good in 1 way, not so in another. I binged now I have to wait. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Not quite. A lot of people have jumped the gun. The possibility has been greenlit, but it is still in the early stages. They only have commitments from the actors in the British guild, but not from SAG. Also, Sudeikis has agreed to be involved, but it apparently as a producer only for now They still have a ways to go and it doesn’t mean all parties can agree on what it will be or come to terms on final production matters. But it looks good for a possible spinoff at least.
Personally, I would prefer a spinoff. I think the original storyline has run it’s course. _________________ HARRIS WALZ 2024 |

Has anyone seen the Brat Pack documentary? Andrew McCarthy seems really shaken up. Lots of pent up resentment about the moniker and how he feels it derailed his career.
Emilio Estevez really looks like his father.
I haven't finished the doc yet, but I'm liking it so far. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman |

It was OK, but I was a bit disappointed. To me it was less about the Brat Pack than McCarthy trying to force a narrative that he felt, but the others didn't really share. You're still watching, so I'll leave it at that. _________________ HARRIS WALZ 2024 |

Estevez also shared some of those sentiments a few years back (comparing the brat pack to Clooney Pitt and Damon). _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Industry has the TV belt right now.
Thought the show was alright season 1. More shocking than compelling.
Season 2 was a big improvement.
But Season 3. They are cooking with gasoline. The showrunners have this running on all cylinders. Top tier TV.
4 episodes in. And each episode keeps topping the past one. When you don't even think it's possible. _________________ When the world grows. Don't choose to stay the same. |
