Lonzo, Ingram, Zu, Stephenson, Beasley, two 1st round picks, two 2nd round picks for Davis, Frazier
Sign Melo, Jerryd Bayless and maybe Trevor Ariza off waivers??
C - Davis/McGee/Chandler
F - Bron/Melo/Wagner
F - Kuzma/Ariza/Svi
G - KCP/Hart/Bonga
G - Rondo/Bayless/Frazier
Really don't want to give up Zu and Zo.. but I can see it going down that way.
Not sure what we would have is enough to win a chip... maybe we have another $20m or so to go after Kemba Walker during the offseason? |

Ingram will need to be paid soon - I’m guessing that’s why he’s not there.
Please take him over one of Lonzo or Kuz and it’s a home run.
I mean, either way you do the deal there. |
He's also a weird fit for their system. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't value him that highly. |

To make math work it has to be
1) KCP - he is a filler. I can not see how without his salary the trade would work.
2) Lance or Beasley - whichever Pelicans would take. I'm guessing Beas.
3) Kuzma - centerpiece, Pelicans will demand him.
4) Ball or BI - another centerpiece.
If needed ad either McGee, Chandler, Hart.
Pelicans will demand BI, Ball and Kuzma, but Lakers should not do that. One of the three needs to stay home. _________________ .

Hearing from sources if Lakers want Anthony Davis, who has requested a trade, LA has to start the deal with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, No. 1 pick.
|
Lol thought Ingram had value around league? Over ball |

Which offer would be better? (It can't be the Celtics until the summer). |
Why would the Pels not wait until summer then? They have no reason or pressure to trade him until all the best offers are on the table, which includes Boston. Why not wait for the inevitable bidding war. This also hurts the Lakers because all the one year contracts are now free agents.
Pels have no business incentive to trade before then. It is the Lakers that will likely be desperate not the Pels. |
Because hopefully Davis is telling the C's he will not sign an extension with them. Then Ainge no doubt pulls out. |
Apparently Davis is concerned with his legacy and Championships. Wouldn't he have a better opportunity for both with the Celtics? And trust me it makes me ill to admit that.
Is Davis so influenced by Paul (and James) that he ignores the better opportunity is in the EC and with that roster? |
I agree, but the only thing that makes me question your reasoning, is why he's demanding the trade now?
He would have easily waited until the Celtics didn't have to deal with Kyrie. That he's requesting the trade at a time when the Celtics are "effectively" ineligible to trade for him is very telling, don't you think? |

As much as I like all of our young guys to some degree, the chance of any of them ever being as good as AD is zero. The team who gets the single best player in a trade always wins. Give them whatever it takes, settle up the roster after. |

I agree to the point where 'settle up' means signing Melo. As long as we have no part of him in the Lakers uniform, I'm good. _________________ .

Not sure the Knicks would agree after they traded for Melo a few years ago.
Nor the Lakers after they traded for Dwight. |

Done deal.
Bron
Davis
BI
Rondo
Hart
No brainer. |
No depth either. There only so many Carmelo's available to keep James happy. When either of James or Davis sits out or is injured, then what?
Roster even becomes more top heavy when the one year free agents are converted into the marquee free agent everyone is waiting for next summer. If any choose to join the team.
Roster relies on massive mins per game and no injuries from players. And the bench not losing leads on a consistent basis. The contending teams have the multiple All-stars but they also have deep benches. That will not be the Lakers. |
You get the stars now, and add the role players later. The Lakers can worry about filling out the roster after they get star players. |
How do they get a quality bench with no money and no picks. And no remaining draft picks except Bonga, Wagner, Caruso, Williams and "maybe" one or two young core guys.
Even the current vets are likely gone. Are any of Rondo, Stephenson, Beasley. Chandler or McGee sticking around for vet min contracts or exception money?
Lakers could easily be looking for a starting center and PG this summer if the dominoes fall wrong.
All that being said, I think Magic is wetting himself with Davis's announcement. He will do everything in his power to get this trade done because it sells tickets and makes headlines. As you state, then you worry about the roster.
Wish him luck, going to be a hell of a ride. And I'll be be watching as always. |

I see a lot of people saying they want to keep Lonzo.
Are you guys SERIOUSLY saying, if the Pels want Zo, you'd be against making the move?
You guys CAN'T be serious!
Lonzo is a nice, unique talent - but AD + Lebron and Lebron + ZO is laughably incomparable. |

If Lakers throw in all the young core, we are about to see Andre Ingram soon again. _________________ .

Peeps are just stating their preferences, if NO wants Lonzo he’s gone. Watch when Lonzo is gone how many posters will say that we made a mistake because he is so special lol. |

everybody not Lebron can go, our young core is overrated, they can’t get it done. Hell, throw Luke in the trade also. |

If you want AD this is how you do it. You still have Lance , Beez, Svi, McGee, Chandler. You can sign Melo, and yo know there will be buy-outs coming up ala Faried. If you don't win it this year who cares ( I think it can be done)...you werent going to any way with this team. If you make the trade, This way you have Bron and AD in place and you build a championship roster next year with room for another max guy. |

Ideally you'd wanna keep Kuzma out of anybody not named Lebron, who won't be in the trade anyways.
I think keeping one of Kuzma, Ball, or BI will be considered a smashing success. Even if all of the ancillary pieces (Zubac, Hart, etc.) are included |

KCP is a Rich Paul client and was open to a trade to the Suns for more PT. He would instantly start in the backcourt next to Jrue if traded.
My package would be BI, Kuz, KCP, Zu and Picks to get this done. We could keep Hart and Zo.
Zo/Rondo
Hart/Lance
Lebron/Svi
AD/Beasley/Wagner
McGee/Chandler |
