| I get an error "The URL of the remote avatar is not valid" whenever I try to upload an avatar. PLEASE HELP!!! |

| Same here. Tried a tinyurl and different hosting sites. Bummed because I had one and went change it and now I have nothing. lol |

This forum has gone to crap. Avatars don't work. Jump to last post has never worked. Threads are now condensed into massive generic "official" topics, so there isn't anything good to read anymore.
I've been asking for change for a long time and have just found myself drifting away from this train wreck over the past several years. I don't think the developers care about this site anymore.

Still waiting on that avatar fix. I certainly don't have any hope it will be fixed though.
I am just so disappointed in this website. Over 17 years here and I am seriously considering leaving. It's hard to stick around when it is obvious that the developers have abandoned the site. So many basic functions that have been broken for so long.

No. I had to keep trying multiple avatars until one finally stuck. It just didn't like anything I threw at it. I was resizing them appropriately and hosting them on various sites. I attempted random pictures on various sites. I just kept throwing mud at the wall until something finally stuck.
