Came across this lost dunk contest between Kobe and TMac at Magic's 97 Midsummer Nights at the Forum.....thought I'd post it here.

Kobe doing the bounce between the legs dunk and honey dip (elbow dunk) before VC.....those that don't know, now know...I didn't til now.

Btw, TMac will always be the Bird to Bean's Magic.

This is one of my favorite Kobe interviews....the one with TMac....

Maybe not the right thread, but this is a neat analysis on Kobe's efficiency:

The combination of efficiency & volume (not measured here) of Kobe is why he was always such a dominant player.

(Add that to the other things he did on the court like defend, rebound, playmake, etc. of course)

it was just such a different time. Kobe was the last MVP to play all 82 IIRC. now they have rules where you have to play at least 62 to be considered.

He made 9 1st team defenses in a physical era. he was just different.
