17,000 fans attended the Chiefs game last night. I hope live attendance doesn't cause a spike. The crowd's display of emotion was mixed at the playing of the anthem. I heard some cheers and some boos.

Patrick McHomes started the season the way he ended it, He's going to be a great QB for some time to come. He was 16-of-21 for 133 yard and two scores.

5′ 8″ Darwin Thompson is going to be a handful. He's so damn little the DL can't find him. He hides behind the big OL and when they spot him he pops out and he's gone.

Seriously. He carried 37 times for 128 yards. I don't know if a man that size can carry that much of a load for 16 games.

Cheifs look good. They may be the 1st team to win 3 SB in a row.

By the time I tuned into the game it was already out of hand.

I'd forgotten the Texans traded D-Hop.

KC's lead back is Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Thompson is a third-string backup. Also, Edwards-Helaire carried 25 times for 138 yards.

That's who I meant to post. Helaire is 5'7", 210lbs. That's a tree stump. Will he be able to do it for 16 games. Good catch.

He won't average close to 25 carries a game, but yes, he can be a lead back. Did it at LSU last season. He's not tall but he's not a gadget back, either. Most weeks, I'd expect him to be in the 15-20 carry range, and he'll catch some passes eventually (he didn't have a catch last night).

David Johnson looked pretty good. Put me on record saying that CEH will not last the season, but he does look absolutely fantastic out there in that offense!

Really? Barry Sanders comes to mind. 5'8" 200lbs. Not saying he's Sanders but looks like he doesn't take solid hits. I'm anxious to see how he fares.

There is only one Barry Sanders. Even Emmitt Smith was 5' 9". CEH is 5' 7" and was getting wrecked at the goal line over and over again. If they continue to use him in goal line run plays, i will be concerned for his health. He basically only had one year in college (out of his three years there) with a bell-cow volume of carries, so he hasn't really proven much in terms of his durability in that type of role yet. With that said, he is definitely exciting to watch!

The lack of a ton of college work is actually a good thing. Less wear and tear.

My point was who he reminds me of. If you miss him wait, he'll be back!

As a bucs fan who doesn’t get many opportunities to get excited for the season, I find myself feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve right now.

it is a mixture for me....really excited. and also fearful it does not look great early on. About 90% of NFL fans are just salivating at a chance to see Brady fail, and if they struggle early, the noise will be loud.

Hoping Evans can go, and be something close to normal. Also hearing that Fournette will probably be a bigger part of the offense today than many people expected. Very interested to see if OJ Howard is highlighted in the offense with Brady.

It has been extremely weird to see the Bucs kind of treated as the center of the NFL universe this offseason....now it is time to prove we are legit contenders this season!

Unless Philip Rivers was brought on so the Colts can tank for Trevor I see no point to the Colts signing him.

How exactly is he an upgrade over Jacoby at this point in his career?

Brady did a Cam Newton, tossed a INT. Saints lead 14 7.

The front office probably didn't watch a lot of Chargers games....

Brady got happy feet. Saints block FG attempt. So far Tom not living up to expectations. If this keeps up Max is going to have a field day tomorrow.
