Will be interesting to see if the NFL decides to let him play again. Because I know Chris Bosh when he had his health troubles no NBA team wanted to take the risk and he was ultimately forced to retire.

The NFL may decide to allow him to play but what team would take the risk on a sixth round pick?

Thanks LongBeachPoly. That's good to read. I hope the NFL honors their commitment.

The NFL and Bills have already approved paying him his regular salary instead of the IR salary. It was a freak hit, if doctors approve he might play again. The heart is capable of healing and regenerating itself. I almost died from congestive heart failure in 2010 and now, with medication and more healthful habits, my heart is as strong as it ever was.

As for this weekend, the Giants +7.5 seems like easy money.

I agree, as I think the Giants plus the points is the right way to go in that game. I don't like the way the Eagles finished the season and think that they may have peaked too early, so I'm thinking that the Giants can keep it close. And when you're getting more than a touchdown, even if the Eagles do control the game, there's always the chance for the backdoor cover by the Giants with a late score.

And good to hear about your CHF being under control. My grandmother had open-heart surgery in the early 1950's when it was still a relatively new procedure, and at the time the doctors didn't know if she would even live to see old age. I'm pretty sure that she had CHF for well over 30 years (possibly more like 40; I just know it was a really long time), but other than having to take a couple of different meds, lived a normal life and was in good health without any real problems up until the final few months of her life. She lived to be 87, which is a pretty good run for someone born in 1919. May you have many more decades, VLF.

Mahomes may be done for the day. He had his ankle fallen on. He's gone to the locker room for treatment. I hope he'll be able to continue.

The tenor of the playoffs has just changed. Even if he comes back in to play, he will be injured. That looked like a textbook high ankle sprain, at best. He won't be healthy for weeks.

I saw a play where if healthy Mahomes would have run for a 1st down. He passed instead. It's on the Chief's defense to win this one. Reid will also have to make great offensive calls.

Jags fumble around the Chiefs 5 yard line. That may be the dagger. Lawrence throws an INT. That's definitely the dagger.

When is Chiefs next game? How much time will Mahomes have to heal?

Next Sunday, the later game. The league also just announced that it will be held in Atlanta if it's KC vs. Buffalo.

That's good. Buffalo and Green Bay are not places you want to play in the winter. The severity of Mahome's sprain will definitely factor in the next game.

Hurts told Pam Oliver he's nowhere near 100%. Can another injured QB favored to win do as Mahomes did?

The Eagles are giving me some hope that they could beat the 49ers if they meet in the NFC championship game next week.

As long as Brandon Staley doesn't replace Sirianni on the Eagles sideline for the second half, I'm pretty sure Philly will be just fine.

Philly fans don't accept mediocrity the way Chargers fans do.

Jaguars were lucky to win the last two games they won and could have lost by a lot more today if not for a questionable hit on Mahomes.

It was reported that Mahomes had no supporting devices on his ankle and wore the same sneakers home that he came with. And no limp. Sometimes those young 20-something heal quickly.

I don't buy that he's fine, personally. He'll be well enough to play, but after watching that entire game, the dude cannot be unaffected by that injury.

The Cowboys got screwed with the scheduling. They had to play Monday and the 49ers played Saturday. Extra rest for the 49ers and they don't have to travel.

His scrambling will be limited. Patrick will have to be more of a pocket passer. Whoever they play will have a slew of blitzes.

Seeding matters, Dallas could have the advantage if they had a better season.

It's really snowing in Buffalo. The field is turning white. They're having to clear the yard marker to make them visible.

The Bengals lead Snowbowl 24 10 1:11 left in 3rd quarter. It's snowing so hard it's difficult to see.
