That was just the fourth time in NFL history that a player has been credited with a TD pass and a TD catch on the same play. That may have been Josh Allen's MVP moment. Oh, and he's also the first QB in NFL history to have thrown, caught, and rushed for a TD in the same game.

The Bills are the only team that can stop KC.

Most teams can play with the Chiefs. Nothing about their team suggests that they can just flip a switch and blow somebody out. This feels like a paper tiger situation this year. I don't even think officiating help will get them through the postseason this time. But perhaps I'm naive.

Besides getting some favorable calls from the refs, they probably are the luckiest team ever. Yeah and I dislike them more than Brady's Patriots.

Allen is the MVP this year. and if we're being honest he should be going for his second straight.

He would win it if the season ended today. And no, Saquon wouldn't win it. He's a damn running back. Sorry, but Philly has been good lately with ragtag RB's. You replace even Hurts (who is a little overrated but still pretty solid) with Kenny Pickett and good Lord, the Eagles suck. Allen is a QB Superman.

EDIT: After I typed this, I decided to look it up. On FanDuel, Allen is the clear -230 favorite, with Saquon next at +500. Goff and Lamar are +1100 and, hilariously, Mahomes is +1500. (The Chiefs could go 16-1 and he's not winning it.)

Anyone watching MNF? Jameis Winston gave the team an inspirational speech. Man, if you ain't pulling for Jameis you ain't got no soul.

I was hating on Bo Nix in the off season a bit but he has continued to improve every week. No doubt him and Sean Payton are finding a rhythm and the AFC West will be in play by next season even if Las Vegas is still a dumpster fire.

I also owe Russell Wilson some apologies or flowers after some of my more disparaging claims, nice bounce back by Russ this season.

The full Jameis Winston experience tonight! Golden arm. Makes some incredible throws. But also many really bad decisions, and not just the pick sixes. He's thrown balls to guys who are completely covered right at the line of scrimmage several times tonight. Like, why? But it's fun to watch. For that reason, I hope he's a starter somewhere next year!

Though I root for underdogs, it’s tough for me to pull for Winston. I prefer athletes who overcome physical limitations by using mental prowess. That’s the polar opposite of Famous Jameis.

Just to keep talking about this, on that final play that the Raiders had, the center snaps the ball and the entire rest of the team is clearly not ready for the snap. A flag immediately flies and the first official comes running in to signal false start. They huddle for a long while and come out of the huddle and declare that it's an illegal shift, not a false start, so it's Chiefs ball and basically, game over. They don't bring the rules analyst, Terry McAulay, on to talk about it. Ryan Fitzpatrick, after the game, points out that the receivers were not set and it should have been a false start. It's not an illegal shift...no one is shifting! They just weren't set or ready for the play. That's not an illegal shift, that's a false start! When they were talking about it for way, way longer than usual on a call like this, I knew that they were going to find a way to help the Chiefs out.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, though.

It got worse. Even if it was an illegal shift which is a live-ball penalty and not a false start, a ref blew the whistle which signaled that the play was dead prior to the bad/fumbled snap. The NFL refuses to address this.

Worse, the refs did huddle after the bad/fumbled snap, and yet they refused to accept that the play should have been called dead. Why??? The refs huddled and yet the ref who blew the whistle was either overruled, ignored, or outright lied about his whistle. Once again, KC reaps a strange advantage due to the officiating and this time it's egregious.

You ain't got no soul. Jameis is a character. I don't think anyone or anything is going to change him. You know what you're getting, a cannon arm and a Superman ego. I like the guy, his game, welllll.

I never claimed I had a soul. I'm a stream of characters on my favorite sports site.

As I said a few pages back, Jameis has incredible talent but terrible judgement. He will win games that his team should lose, and he'll lose games that his team should win. Deep down I want to believe that he'll turn it around, I like a good redemption story. A team like Cleveland is the perfect setting for that story.

Bo Nix plays within his envelop, and that envelop is exactly what Sean Payton wants out of his QB. That's why Wilson never worked out in Denver, Wilson's strength was his bucket throwing ability on deep passes, which is as anti-Payton as a QB can get. Payton wants a Brees-like QB, someone who is accurate to the first two levels and stay on script.

I thought Nix was a good choice for Denver, just as I thought that Wilson was a good fit for Pittsburgh. Glad it worked out for both of them.

Azeez has been fined and suspended multiple times for dirty play. It seems to be a part of his game. Football is a violent sport but what Azeez did was uncalled for. Suspension for the remainder of the season would be in order.

Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair suspended 3 games after Trevor Lawrence hit

Quote:
Al-Shaair was flagged and later fined $11,255 for a late hit out of bounds on Titans running back Tony Pollard in Week 12. He also was fined $11,817 earlier this year after he punched Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson on the sideline in Week 2. That occurred during a scuffle that started after his hard shot on quarterback Caleb Williams near the sideline wasn't flagged.

Late hit on Trevor Lawrence.

He's an accused rapist. Let's be fair. He's not an adjudicated rapist. Like, you know, the 45th and soon-to-be 47th president of the United States. But he did also (allegedly) grope an Uber driver while he was in the NFL so hey, I understand why you'd be inclined NOT to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Trevor is most likely done for the season. I think because of the way Azeez hit him, intentional forearm to the helmet, I think he should join him.

Jaguars place Trevor Lawrence on injured reserve due to concussion, likely ending QB's 2024 season

Jameis has a shady off field reputation. My point is he's a character. His gametime antics have me cracking up. He's definitely a motivator.

Going with the Lions -3.5 tonight. The extra half point is worrisome but no guts, no glory.

The 49ers are most likely going to miss the playoffs so I really, really want the Lions to win it all. We need a Bills vs Lions Superbowl. Please no more Mahomes and Chiefs.
