Baker Mayfield has guts, man. Never would have thought that he'd be a better QB than Justin Herbert is (after Herbert's first couple of years in the league), but that's exactly what he is. What a drive. That run was incredible. Just trucked Bobby Wagner! |

That run where he barreled through the D leaving dudes on the ground was badass. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

Best game of the weekend for sure.
I am a big Bucky Irving guy, I think he is tremendous to go along with Baker and Evans and the rest. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

TB with a great goal line stand. This is what playoff football should be. Too bad it took until the 5th game of the weekend. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

First and goal at the 1 and they don't score any points. And this is why Philly is so smart. They wouldn't do anything but a sneak there, even on 1st down. Don't give it to Saquon, because there's a risk of the defense just going all out and throwing you for a loss. There's nothing bad that can happen on a sneak unless you don't handle the snap; it's either going to be no gain or, probably 90% of the time, you're going to go forward at least a little bit. The call there should always be to run sneaks until you score. And if the QB is too small to handle that, every team should have a package where a sturdier player runs the play, either a bigger backup QB (like Arizona does with Clayton Tune instead of Kyler Murray), or a tight end (like Baltimore does with Mark Andrews and like Green Bay did today with Tucker Kraft).
This is a market inefficiency that Philly has exploited, and for some reason, other teams don't. You shouldn't do anything but run a sneak from the 1. I don't care who the running back is. King Henry, Adrian Peterson, doesn't matter. |

I will repeat myself: just run a QB sneak. It's actually remarkable how often teams fail to get the first down with just 1 yard to go. |

That FG instead of a possible TD is on Irving; drop u to our shoulder and drive instead of stopping 1 yard shoot of the first down. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

Well. That first down is ball game. TB was in a roll and mistakes killed then. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

If the Texans had Tank Dell. I'd bet on them to cover.
But they don't. And the Chiefs (at home) will stomp them ... unfortunately.
With the noise from the crowd, Texans will have to go silent count.
And Chris Jones will eat. _________________ When the world grows. Grow with it. |

I'm Silent Generation. Generation Y concepts such as Hall Passes are alien to me. I'm all for freedom and personal choices, and I applaud those with mental elasticity who engage in the now. Having said that Saquon is a good-looking young man. Just as I wanted him to break Eric Dickerson's rushing record I wanted to see him take that handoff and GO ALL THE WAY!! _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Coaches are not the Cowboys problem, Jerry Jones is. The Cowboys job is a prestigious one but any coach who takes it will be handcuffed by Jerry. Who will be his next puppet?
Cowboys will not bring back head coach Mike McCarthy, reports say

anyone notice this is happening in all major four sports. teams with rich history, family ownerships, outdated management team are struggling, or having no future in sight.
NFL: cowboys, steelers, Giants, Raiders
MLB: Yankees (sure they came off a WS, but their future is bleak)
NBA: Lakers, Heat
feel free to add on this list. |
