Did he play 4 snaps and just peace out on these guys? Lol.
Never liked him so Idgaf if he's hurt and ends his career like this.
He's a smug dbag

2 year contract. Obviously him being up there in age, the first year is critical....now that he's injured, he'll be 40 when he plays again.

Yes 2 years guaranteed, $75M. Not sure if there is anything that changes if he officially retires.

Howard Stern was joking that Aaron Rodgers found the same doctor who said Trump weighed 215lbs and the doctor who said Mitch McConnel was fit for office, and paid them $1M to say he is out for the season.

We all saw that snap in his calf.. Tough to fake that

How does Aaron Rodgers' season-ending injury impact his Jets contract? Here's a breakdown

This is the part that I am wondering about:

Quote:
The four-time MVP, who turns 40 in December, will be under contract for the Jets in 2024 unless he decides to retire.

Even those of us who dislike Aaron Rodgers and think he's a pretentious diva can't be happy about this injury. You also have to feel bad for the New York City area — they finally had a team that had a shot at a world championship after some disappointing years from the Yankees, Knicks, Nets and Mets and decades of ineptitude from the Jets.

Plus, this happened on the anniversary of 9/11.

That was the killer. It had to be on New Yorkers' minds.

This is correct. You just don't want to see an all-time great succumb to injury, even if you don't like the guy personally. No one despises the Clippers more than I do, for example, and while I don't shed a tear when Kawhi and/or PG get injured because it hurts their team, I don't want them to get injured, if that makes sense. Especially Kawhi, who I think was on a path to being a top 10-15 player of all time before the apparently chronic quad/leg stuff started happening to him. It always sucks when injuries rob us of seeing greatness. And hey, maybe Rodgers was never going to be great anymore. But with that kind of cache, we were robbed of even seeing if it was possible in another uniform and it was a hell of a story, regardless of what you think of him.

https://www.mensjournal.com/news/faaron-rodgers-injury-fan-prediction

Quote:
Just hours before the game, one user on the platform formerly known as Twitter, whose account has mysteriously since been suspended, called not just that Rodgers would tear his Achilles, but that it would be the result of the wet turf in MetLife Stadium after storms tore through the area.

"Aaron Rodgers is going to tear his Achilles on a rain drenched MetLife turf in 2.5 hours," posted the user @DaddyZaslav, an apparent riff on the name of Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav.

"40 year old QB on rain drenched turf against the best team in football what could go wrong am I right," the user added shortly after in a follow-up tweet.

The sun shines on a dog's ass some days.

Seriously, it appears that the turf, in this case, had very little, if anything, to do with the injury. I heard Dr. David Chao on 710 ESPN radio earlier today while driving in the car, and if you're unaware, he is prominent on Twitter when there's a notable injury, immediately offering his take on what he thinks the injury is based on what he sees. Anyway, Chao said that if you watch the replays, the injury is sustained because of the force of how he's brought down, as opposed to his foot getting stuck in the turf or landing hard on the turf or something.

Achilles injuries are so strange, they usually happen on plays where it looks like nothing is wrong as far as twisting and such.

My theory is it is like a rubber band that only has so many stretches in it before it breaks, I thought of Achilles right away when he went down because it didn't appear to be a knee or ankle twist kind of thing and he knew right away just like Kobe did when he blew out his (and made both free throws after it happened by the way)

Kelce and Jones are playing today. KC trying to stop a 2 game losing skid.

Burrow's not 100% Bengals down to Ravens 27 24.

Happy for my boy Lamar Jackson. Alot of people had the Ravens not even making the playoffs this year.

That doesn't make sense to me. He finally has help. He doesn't have to run as much. I look for OBJ to have a great season if he stays healthy.

A dose of reality for the Jets. Without Rodgers they have a hard time competing against teams like the Cowboys.

The Cowboys might have the best defense in the league.

Looks like the NFC is a 3 horse race between PHI, DAL, and SF.

NU Giants with their biggest comeback in almost 3/4 of a century after opening the season with horrible play except for todays second half.

Denver is a hot mess. They scored a TD with 3 sec left on a Hail Mary then missed the 2 point conversion to tie the game. Denver lost 35 33. Broncos 0 2. Commanders a surprising 2 0.

Good news... whatever helps fire Rat Face Staley.

My prediction by week 10-12 if the Chargers are out of a playoff spot, they fire his ass (yes the cheap Spanos family will do that) and give Kellen Moore a 5-6 game audition.

I would do that right now if I am the Chargers.

Staley isn't the answer unless the question is what current coach is least likely to lead his team to a Super Bowl win this year or in the future.

So far Tua has a clean uniform. He getting rid of the ball quickly. If Miami can keep him upright they will be contenders.
