Ya. It's a shame. And Joe is a guy who is easy to root for. Humble. Level headed. Doesn't get too high or too low. And his teammates love him.
Good news is. They have a window for contending for years to come. Some seasons are just kinda ... cursed. And Joe has been going from 1 injury to another since training camp. _________________ When the world grows. Grow with it.

You just never know how windows can shut just that quickly, though. I mean, Burrow is great, he's one of the true franchise QB's, so you'd hope that Cincy has a Super Bowl window open for a while. But they are almost certainly going to lose Higgins after this season, so there's always the chance that they can't replace him, like, what if they take a guy in the 1st Round to replace him and he isn't good? What if outstanding DC Lou Anarumo gets a head coaching gig and the defense suffers as a result? Look at Buffalo; it appears like they are backsliding now after, what, like 3 years of being a strong contender? So you just never know.

Man! CJ Stroud is for real. He is very poised for a rookie. They rushed 6 and he didn't watch the rush he kept his eyes downfield and completed 2 tight window passes. The second for a touchdown. Texans are leading the Cardinals 14-10 in the 2nd quarter. Somewhere AH is smiling. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I don't know how Brandon Staley still has a job ..nice bust 1st round pick on Quentin Johnson too, I have seals that can catch a ball better _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

That drop was absolutely brutal. Can't pin it on Herbert; he dropped that ball right in the bucket and it just has to be caught. If it is, the game likely goes to OT.

Does Brandon Staley make it to the end of the season. Chargers have the same record as the Rams and they have a far more talented roster.
I was watching the games over at my parents' house today, and my nephew (who was a high school WR) was over there too. He made an interesting comment regarding both Eric Bieniemy and Kellen Moore. Both the Commanders and Chargers have coaches on the extreme hot seat; I'd argue that it might be smart for both to fire Ron Rivera and Staley, respectively, and see what Bieniemy and Moore can do as the head guy for the rest of the year. However, my nephew had an interesting theory. He argued that, if you do that and have those guys be the interim coach for the rest of the year, you run the risk of losing them after the season. Why? Well, he said that if the stint doesn't go well, now you may not want to hire them to the permanent head coaching gig next year. And if they don't get the head gig...are they really going to want to return as the OC again? He argued that this would basically be a demotion, and that they would seek greener pastures elsewhere. Interesting food for thought.
I'd do it, though. If you don't like what you see, then, to me, it would be worth it if you have to move on from either guy as the OC.
Chargers shouldāve fired Staley and Telesco a long time ago. That post game interview from Staley should tell us everything we need to know. He isnāt up to the job. The pressure has got to him, and that is exactly the type of post game interview that turns players and fans against a coach. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

I'd wait until the offseason to fire Staley. That way, the Chargers can take their time looking at the best options to replace him. Could they have a shot at Jim Harbaugh? Harbaugh transformed a struggling 49ers team into instant Super Bowl contenders and gave them an identity.
But the Chargers also need an infusion of talent. If I were them, I'd try to take a big swing on the trade or free agent market. They still need a speed threat at WR, and they could also use an heir apparent to Keenan Allen. On defense, they could use help at cornerback, especially since J.C. Jackson didn't work out. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

If he catches it clean he might've scored and won the game... The only reason he started falling was because he bobbled it initially. Really just incredible how awful this dude has been.

The Steelers finally lost a close game.
Funniest team I've ever seen. Their record doesn't match their stats.
Their offense is a joke.
Najee Harris summed it up:
Quote:
"Record-wise, we're good," Harris said. "You can look at the record. You can do one of two things. You can look at the record and say, 'OK, we're still good right now,' or you can look at the record and be like, 'If we keep playing this type of football, how long is that (bleep) gonna last?' I look at it like, how long is that (bleep) going to last? Y'all can look at it like it's a good record, but this is the NFL. Winning like how we did is not gonna get us nowhere."
Matt Canada needs to go.
Their starting QB has 13 TDS in 23 games. They are 28th in the league in points scored. _________________ When the world grows. Grow with it.

Pickett is absolutely horrible. They have no ceiling with him. If they were to actually look at someone like Cousins or Kyler Murray in the offseason, now all of a sudden that's a team with a plausible path to contention. I know Pickett was their 1st Round pick and this is only his second season, but sometimes, you just have to see what is happening and rip off the Band-Aid as quickly as possible, because the clock is ticking for guys like TJ Watt. If they go into Pickett's third season with him as the starter, they aren't going anywhere and are just spinning their wheels, even if Tomlin manages to coax another 9 or 10-win season out of them and another possible playoff berth.

Yeah he's been terrible. And he may have scored that if he keeps his balance completely and runs through the catch, sure. At the very least, it's a long bomb where they get into FG range.

It's 45 degrees and raining in Kansas City Mo. Which team will be most affected by the weather? It's been opined that the winner of this game will win the SB. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I can see tgat, despite PMās 22-1 record from November on. And Iāve reached a point where Iām over the hype from everyone about the Chiefs, so Iād like to see them lose. And it was refreshing to see and obviously bad call go against the Chiefs for once. _________________ HARRISWALZ2024
