Another obvious no call PI in the endzone in the Bengals-Commanders game.

It really is astonishing.

It is literally every game.

Every close call or non-call goes in KC's favor.

When one doesn't (like on the play last year) they complain for a month.

Watch them win the Super Bowl again this year on cheap calls, I can feel it coming.

Oh yeah no doubt about it. They are going to Three peat. The NFL want Mahomes to win as many as possible.

You want to know why people say the Chiefs get calls? Yet another example here. That's pass interference in the end zone on Kyle Pitts. Clear as day.

Same EXACT play was just called as PI in the CinciWA game, as it should be.

The Bengals are 0-3 with home losses to the Patriots and Commanders. Couldn't have seen that coming.

Wow did I misread the Bills/Jags game. Buffalo is all over them. Credit OC Joe Brady for going away from their extreme run-first offense for this one, as the Jags were clearly not prepared for them to go pass-heavy. Oh, and Trevor Lawrence sucks.

When Jacksonville gave Lawrence the fat extension this summer, I said it was a mistake.

In my opinion, he is the most overrated QB in the NFL. He is a turnover machine and extremely inconsistent. I would take Jayden Daniels (stud) over him in a second and not look back.

I may have asked this already. How much is Trevor's blame and how much is the organization's blame? Trevor's been sacked 35 times. He's probably hearing footsteps. As far as Jayden goes are the Bears kicking themselves for picking Caleb instead of him? I know it's early but they both have good surrounding players. Jaden looks like a RG3. I hope he doesn't suffer the same fate.

Why would the Bears be kicking themselves after 3 games? Williams threw for 80 more yards with the same number of TDs. Patience is a virtue. In my mind the only alternative would have been to trade the first round pick for multiple picks and rebuild the offensive line around Fields.

I asked that because Jaden looks like the better quarterback. I hope Caleb lives up to the hype. As I said, it's early.

I’m sure that the Bears are feeling fine. Now Poles has to get some offensive line hope.

I heard a stat on Lawrence on ESPN Radio today.

In addition to have the most turnovers of any QB over the last 3 years and losing his last 8 starts, he also has averaged 4 overthrows per game for his career.

That is where you overthrow an open receiver and the pass is incomplete.

This year he is averaging 5 of those per game.

Those are worst in the league type numbers and they gave him a mammoth contract extension in the off-season. Just a bad decision, he looks like a NFL QB but simply isn't effective most of the time.

The NFL continues to be the most competitive and unpredictable American Pro Sports league, Week 3 again was almost impossible to predict.

A few quick thoughts as I am deep into the NFL as you may have guessed:

0-3 Teams

Since 1990, only 4 out of 162 teams starting 0-3 have made the playoffs per Sports Illustrated. That is 2.5%.

There are three 0-3 teams this season: Cincinnati, Tennessee and Jacksonville

I don't expect any of the three to beat those odds but would of course give Cincinnati the best chance of the group.

Changing League?

It seems like the passing game is going the way of the DoDo Bird in the NFL. Running and being physical seems to be where it is all about in 2024, finesse team like say the Cowboys are getting punked as the league morphs.

My feeling is these things are all cyclical, perhaps more important than being able to run and pass on offense is being able to STOP the run on defense?

Inconsistent and Over Officiating

As has been an ongoing topic in this thread, the officials have had a rough start to this season. NFL Football is super difficult to officiate, there is no doubt about that. But the inconsistency of the calls from week to week and crew to crew particularly on Pass Interference and Holding seem so arbitrary that people are starting to flip out, particularly those of us who aren't opposed to wagering on the games.

My thoughts: The league as a whole needs to be more consistent on Pass Interference calls but maybe a little more lenient on soft holding calls. NFL Refs are well trained I believe compared to other leagues, but some of teh judgement calls continue to be a major cluster f*^k.

Jayden Daniels

This guy can play, I didn't realize he had as many college starts as he did. I love his game, just worry about his build and taking too many hits. But he is electric out there and gives the Commanders some real hope as they move forward. I am a fan, plus he grew up in SoCal so I always root for those guys.

That's why I mentioned him being sacked 35 times. He may be hearing footsteps. He may be gun shy. Does he need a better offensive line? Has the organization given him the support he needs? There was a reason he was the first overall pick.

I call him white Jameis Winston. Both incredible freshman seasons in college that ended in national titles, and I am not sure that either guy really improved from there. Both guys have all the physical tools, can make all the throws, but are just too erratic to be counted on for any type of consistency.

Jameis is injury prone. He'll be playing well and go down to an injury.

Knee meniscus tear: January 14, 2020
Knee ACL tear grade 3: October 31, 2021
Knee MCL sprain grade 2: October 31, 2021
Back vertebral fracture: September 11, 2022

I don't have a real read on him because of this.

^One thing about Jameis is he is going to end up having quite a long NFL career, albeit mostly as a backup.

Good work if you can get it!

Dallas a 6 point favorite on the road tonight vs. the NY Giants.

Both teams of course playing on a short week with Dallas coming off two abysmal games at home and the Giants coming off a nice road win at Cleveland.

In recent history, Dallas has absolutely owned the NY Giants but something seems way off with the Cowboys right now. Teams are running the ball on them at will and on offense they are inconsistent and now have Lamb pulling the diva receiver routine after sitting out all camp for more money and then sucking in the first 3 games (he is on my 0-3 Fantasy Team) so they need to get it going right now.

I am going to stay off this one from a betting perspective, but I would lean towards the Giants and the points.

Jerry Jones is what's wrong. He wants the spotlight. He's taken Mike McMacarthy's locker room voice. Agree with SAS or not I think he's on to something when he says Jerry should hire Belichick. If he does he can have the spotlight and if he lets Bill coach unabated he'll come up a winner. If they don't beat the Giants tonight their season is just about a wash.

I'm watching the post game show on Prime. Marshawn Lynch drove a race car. He's an X-rated interview. He gets a lot of bleeps.

I learned my lesson betting on Dallas in week 2. I took the 5.5 for tonight.

Cowboys doing a good job stopping the run. Danny Dimes is hurting them passing.

Yup. I should’ve bet the Cowboys. But game isn’t over yet.

I only bet $10 a game, so I won’t be going hungry.
