What do you guys think about Katseye? I don’t think they’ll make it in Asia. No shot since they’re an American group with a token Korean girl. At the same time, I’m not sure the US audience will buy in either.

I’m going to the Krazy Super Concert in Long Beach in two weeks to see Sunmi (and Aespa), and Katseye is also performing. Not a fan of them or VCHA. Just feels like American pop.

Rosé and Bruno Mars’ new song APT is so catchy…

“Apataeu Apataeu Apataeu!”

I'm not Korean but I enjoyed Korean music going way back in the 90's when I was really into music, and was searching for music around the world. They were the best at mimicking the hip hop and r&b sounds of the west, and this was the 90's. I'm not as into it today, as I'm older. LOL! But it seems now they are the best at mimicking western boy bands to the point of taking the lead. Now they are trendsetters.

Or Jeemin. She’s now in Izna. But RUNext was the most rigged show I’ve ever watched.

Their songs have been pretty weak in comparison to earlier ones but I liked this one, outside MTS's rap surprisingly. Also was funny on their live KBS performance they used Young Ji for the rap part (because of course)

Twice’s choreography still sucks. I’m still a fan but I’ve got to admit the newer generations have stepped up the all-around level of talent.

It's been a while since I've posted in this thread. Just wanted to say a couple of things:

Twice's Strategy in my personal opinion is their best title track since Talk That Talk, and I love the choreo.

NewJeans was my favorite of the newer groups but their ongoing implosion will change the industry forever (well, once all of the legal battles have concluded).

aespa is great, perhaps the most consistent of the newer groups. Missed them on their current world tour due to work but I think I'll have another chance. XG and Le Sserafim I like a lot as well.

It’s a toss up between Aespa and Ive for best fourth gen group to me, with Itzy slightly lower.

Le Ssersfim’s last two singles (Crazy and Easy) have been misses to me.

NewJeans is easily one on my list. Best overall talent.

Even with no label backing them, they’re still all over ads in Hmart.

I still don't understand the New Jeans and Illit conflict. How can there be conflict between two groups within the same company (HYBE)?

Supposedly they are run independently so the only real overlap was ownership. But it's still weird.

Seems like it was more a management issue among the adults and the girls got thrown into the middle of it.
