"Former NBA guard Javaris Crittenton was sentenced to 23 years in prison and 17 years of probation on Wednesday after entering a guilty plea on charges related to the 2011 shooting death of an Atlanta woman."
Way to throw your life away jackass...
This guy had it made, playing in the NBA and he decided to live the thug life. For somebody who was supposedly smart, attending Georgia Tech and making the honor roll, he made some terrible life decisions. People who make it to the big time usually want to get away from that type of lifestyle.

Ha, don't feel sorry for him. I remember reading his blog on the lakers site and thought this guy is great. We all thought he was gonna be that great tall point guard PJ was looking for and got to excited seeing him throw oops to Bynum.
I don't even remember anything about him murdering anyone, I only remember him and Arenas brings guns to the locker room. _________________ SCHROEDER/CARUSO/COOK

Playing for the Lakers and you get involved with the "glamour" of a gang?
Shoot an innocent woman trying to shoot the guy that robbed you...SMH
Hope he is able to turn his life around when he gets out of prison at 50. Squandered a lot of opportunites so far, talk about bad life choices. _________________ “There is always light if only we're brave enough to see it, if only we're brave enough to be it.” --Amanda Gorman
Idiot. I think he had a solid upbringing IIRC and it wasn't until he hit the NBA he thought he was a gangster. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
This is just a truly sad story all the way around. I hope he prays for forgiveness and tells his story to young men who are thinking of joining gangs. All he can do at this point is attempt to make some good out of a terrible decision.
Idiot. I think he had a solid upbringing IIRC and it wasn't until he hit the NBA he thought he was a gangster.
I gotta have a rare disagreement with a yinoma post and it pains me. Why did you do it, yinoma?
Him just befriending and going along with LA Crips like it was nothin is dubious. It takes a pre-built level of comfort with the element to mingle, meld, and associate with a gang, even biker gangs. Especially true for someone who has a lot to lose (Aaron) and it still doesn't change their mindset. No alarm bells going off in Cripp's head. Cripp was a gangster who just happened to get into the NBA and he was true to form to the end of that association. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
What an idiot. The guy just continued to make idiotic choice after idiotic choice. Never once did a light click on. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest
He's stupid for joining the Crips after joining the NBA. Then goes out to murder somebody. The hell he's thinking getting caught up like that? Stephen Jackson is a Blood but you don't see him go out and murder somebody while he's in the NBA.
Welp...I guess thanks for being trade bait for Pau. _________________ Lakers Offseason Goal:

- sign and trade DLO (nobody wants him LMAO!)

Damn that's a shame. Feel sorry for people that lead such a (bleep) up lifestyle that lead them to commit stuff like that. No excuse for pro athletes, current or former, to dabble in that kind of (bleep).
Oh and this shouldn't be on the lounge, kind of kills the mood.

People were predicting he would go on to be the next Jason Kidd. Not only did he not last in the NBA, he didn't even last as a member of society...
I think he would have been a fringe NBA player, but that's a hell of a lot better than this. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Crit the Crip. Undeniable talent, but what an absolute jackass. He's not stupid, he supposedly had good grades and an SAT score higher than most of the posters on LG. However he has no common sense (no self-management or impulse control, self-awareness, no social awareness) it was an absolute favor to have jettisoned this dope to another team. While out on bond on the murder charge he (allegedly) became involved in trafficking a sizable amount of marijuana. He will be spending the rest of his days behind bars, where he hasn't the aforementioned common sense to survive among real hardened, street-smart thugs.
Idiot. I think he had a solid upbringing IIRC and it wasn't until he hit the NBA he thought he was a gangster.

Gang members are already morons. Becoming a gang member AFTER you're already rich is something worse.
