If AR becomes our 2nd best player, league is really (bleep). |

Before this season the last time Lakers won 33 in a row was 1972. Gail Goodrich was the leading scorer on a team with Wilt and Jerry West.
Figure Reaves will do the same this year on a team with Luka and LeBron. |

Gail Goodrich is not a bad comparison for Reaves if you think about it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Seriously, I would argue he is one of the most underrated players in the league.
And Rui is balling also, but that is for another thread! _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

AR's life on the court about to be so much easier... Imagine no longer being guarded by the best perimeter defenders every game. |

AR might be the best find by the scouting department in decades. Even better than DLO and BI |

WAY better. Those guys were consensus top 3 picks. AR was on no one’s radar. |

He's putting defenders on skates left and right while being able to score ANYWHERE on the court with rock solid playmaking and defensive effort as well. Not a bad description at all for the 3rd option...
The amount of overall improvement from just last Season is something I never truthfully expected. He's sure as hell not just a role player anymore and at this point I gave up on putting a ceiling on him. I could see Austin slowly taking away more and more of Bron's responsibility over the following few Years until he becomes Luka's trusty lone sidekick and they look to form a new trio.
Maybe 33 Year old Jokic would be ready to join The Don & AR with an offer he can't refuse? |

AR making my Manu comparison a couple years back look like an insult. If only we had Caruso we’d have the most exciting whites in the league |

That’s what inspired me lol! I’m hiring her. Don’t need Wemby hurt, I just don’t want him signing anything with the Spurs |

Love his play and he's also showing progress on defense. A lot less of those "where am I supposed to go" moments. Keep it up, Austin! |

JJ's first rotation switches was using AR like a 6th man scorer once the bench unit first came in. LeBron and Luka did a lot of the scoring and searching, and then they both went to the bench and Reaves got "6th man primary scorer" minutes with Gabe, before he went out.
Very clever rotations by JJ. Reaves is starting, but in situations like that when the bench comes in, they run the offense through him and he seeks his own shot etc. Definitely worked. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I’ve been telling people AR is like a baby Kyrie but nobody wanna listen. He doesn’t necessarily have Kyrie’s touch but the way he sauces people up and relentlessly attacks the rim gives me flashes of Kai _________________ He's my GOAT |

Because he's also worked tirelessly on his handles for the past 3 seasons. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

In his post game press conference, Reaves casually pointed out an errant throw that Bron made and also that low pass Luka made to Rui in the corner, emphasizing the quality of his vision while critiquing its placement.
It shows the BBIQ of Reaves is right there with the others and his attention to detail will lead to greatness from him as well.
It's not arrogance, it's a quiet confidence where he knows he belongs on the same court as these greats.
I liked how he explained that great passers almost have a "crazy" suicidal quality where most people wouldn't dare make that pass.
He's absorbing the lessons from these two and will become great himself. Maybe not the same level but still really high like a Steve Nash lite.
We cannot trade him for almost anything other than a top ten player.
I'm sure people will scoff and keep trying to ship him out for some mid star and picks but we need to hold onto him.
Bron's biggest issue is that he keeps throwing the ball away. He still has a lot of quality ball left in him, but those reflexes aren't lying about his age.
That is where Austin will come in handy because Bron can retire to playing more of a post beast like Karl Malone as well as a spot up shooter like McAdoo. |

Buha repeatedly said the Lakers won’t trade him for an inferior player or just picks |

I think the front office appreciates what we have, but it makes me nervous anyway.
We are winning at an incredible clip even before Luka.
There's no need to trade quality assets unless we hit a long rough patch.
The only players who bother me are Shake and Bronny and even Bronny looks like he's improving.
Goodwin is really doing well and Jemison shows some potential.
I don't want to get rid of anyone, and why should we when we are winning at a 90% clip while playing some quality teams. |

Have changed my stance on thinking we might trade him mid next season, I think we’ll keep him at all costs
He’ll work perfectly well as our third offensive go-to. Mini-Kyrie, if you will, while LBJ is our Washington on steroids _________________ #18 next... |

Glad you've come around on him.
He's improving in front of our eyes.
His handles today are far superior even to the beginning of the year. |

Wasn’t ever off on him, as such, was just initially dubious about the fit
But I think it’s now pretty clear it’ll work, and JJ is smart enough to make it work
Agree re: the handles, the Indy game was a a damn masterclass in that regard _________________ #18 next... |
