lol, I take this back

Have literally no idea what made you think that in the first place

Our roleplayers from last season have become massively underrated.

Man, I thought Bradley, Bazemore and THT can be that perimeter defenders ala Kuz, KCP, AC... I, was not correct

Bradley: Was always undersized and still is, so I didn't have any such expectations. He's always been a situational POA defender.
Bazemore: He's been a disappointment, and the only one I expected to be in the same league as KCP/AC.
THT: Has grown a bit defensively this year, but nowhere near enough.

I feel more bad for THT than anything. It's hard to develop under these kind of circumstances. He shouldn't start. I fear situation like this hampers his development. Might pick up some real bad habits wth some of these players.

We had a great core last season. Veterans mixed with some younger guys who played gritty defense. THT would develop 10x better under those kind of circumstances. He's lost a lot of confidence as well judging from how he's played lately.

Im not giving up on him yet.

Don’t feel sorry for THT, he hasn’t been doing things that he could to improve his game. When asked what he did while out with COVID he said he watched a lot of movies. That was a perfect time to watch film part of the time but he never indicated that he did. The great ones take advantage of something like that.

James Harden said he binged watched movies as well. THT’s legs were probably shot from all the porn, hence 1-13 lol.

Klutch sports picked him over Caruso and now they have to deal with it.

Wasn't Caruso working as an accountant while working on his game?
Caruso saw a (bleep) up season and started amazing everyone..

THT is probably depressed the season is looking so whack

So after 40+ games including pre-season and regular season is it safe to say that...

Schroder, KCP, Kuzma, Caruso, Trez is a BETTER FIT for BRON & AD, rather than Westbrook, Bradley, Bazemore, Melo, Dwight.

It's hard to say. When we've had the majority of guys in the lineup, we were starting to hit a groove with AD/Bron/WB. Still haven't seen what Kendrick Nunn and Ariza can do. Our coach is in Covid protocols for Christ Sake.... I think this team will hit its stride closer to the All Star break. Pelinka does need to look for ways to improve this team though. I think the Lakers have a league high in different starting line ups this year, so they get a break there. Building chemistry is so difficult that way. We need to trade THT/Jordan for a solid (Not undersized) 3&D 2/3 guard. We really miss KCP's size and defensive prowess at the 2. THT isnt a crunch time defensive player.

Tough to say. They did make playoffs. If this team doesn’t then yes. If we do and win 3 games in first round then no.

IF this current team makes the playoffs it look like a one and done. We are not deep enough and lesser teams kick our butts.

At the very least the prior group would have had more experience playing next to the core. I would have still have found new destinations for Kuz & Dennis future picks. Maybe bring in Melo for cheap, Keep Morris & gone after Mills…

There's alot of piling on Westbrook, and I can understand why. But, nobody seems to focus on the real problem for why the Lakers are struggling, and it's not WB.

Anthony Davis.

Lebron is doing his job. We have young hungry players that are hustling. Yes, RW's play is a buzzkill, but we didn't need him when we won it all 2 seasons ago. The one player's proficiency we need and haven't gotten is Anthony Davis. He's the only part of this formula that hasn't worked; not offensively or defensively.

Almost every quality big has drastically outplayed AD this season (Freak and KAT as of late). And when AD plays against no-name small ball guys, he doesn't exploit anything. He gets pushed around, bullied, and rendered ineffective.

As yourselves, along with his constant injuries, just how many games has AD influenced this season? I don't mean coming up with good numbers...I mean influenced.

It's easy to pile up on Westbrook. But he's not our focal point. Why everyone trashes Westbrook but not AD is beyond me.

One of those guys was a 1B during a championship run.

The other guy we gutted our team to acquire and our team has been in free fall.

Seriously?

Even though it counts the same it’s important to call it bubble run.
It’s a big deal. We see what happens when they don’t have bubble luxury.

We had a short off-season last year and started the year 21-6 before Bron went down. We finished the season on a 6 game win streak and went up 2-1 against Phoenix. All season, they were talking about the short turnaround. DESPITE that we were in great shape up to that point. If anything last season was the season to significantly shorten Lebron/AD's minutes even at the cost of the season. That turnaround was simply too short. Burning the midnight oil was a mistake in retrospect.

Some perspective is in order here and that's also an admonishment to the front office. EVERY team that went deep in the bubble was beset by injuries and did significantly worse the following year. Unbelievable how everyone was saying that and yet at the first sign of Harden going to the Nets, we panic. Here. We. Are.

Why do act like bron or AD getting dinged is a surprise? At this stage of brons career it’s what happens and in regards to AD it always happens. Would it shock you if either got hurt tonight? No.

I get the short offseason but that was preceded by a huge layoff with minimal travel.

OP was right word for word along with most basketball pundits.

The only thing he and most people didn't predict was westbrook having a terrible attitude as the cherry on top. It's clear he isn't willing to sacrifice to make this work.

This is such a B.S. narrative. The Lakers could have had both of them. Look at Marc Stein’s recent article about how LeBron pushed for the Lakers to re-sign Caruso this past summer. They didn’t for tax saving purposes alone.
