The number of F-16's made available to Ukraine is not really going to make much of a difference when Russia has hundreds of Mig-29's and Su-27's at their disposal. Even worse for Ukraine their European allies are basically giving away their old F-16's without all the modern enhancements that most of the newer air forces around the world have. But I guess when you need whatever weapons are available you got to take whats being offered.

I've been reading alot of positive news the last couple of days that Ukraine is taking the fight to Russia. The tide could be turning soon. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Russians now abandoning some of their most advanced tanks (T-80BVM, which first entered service in 2018) in Kursk Oblast as they flee the advancing Ukrainian forces.
Even Russia’s state TV propagandists can’t hide their alarm at Ukraine’s remarkable cross-border incursion into Kursk. They ridiculously claim it was engineered by Americans to help Kamala Harris and undermine Donald Trump.
I've been reading alot of positive news the last couple of days that Ukraine is taking the fight to Russia. The tide could be turning soon.
I doubt the intention is to advance much further than Kursk. The objective here might be three-fold: 1. Disrupt a major logistics supply line into Ukraine by attacking where that supply line was weakest. 2. Force a redeployment of Russian troops and reserves from the south, taking pressure off of Ukrainian defenses that have lost ground the past few months. 3. Prevent a Russian advance in the north that might have been past the planning stages. This echos the first point as any advance must have significant logistical support.
And of course it gives Putin a black eye, but given Putin's grip on power that probably has nominal value, outside of generating confidence at home and abroad.
My "guess" is it's a grab-and-hold until they get to the negotiating table, hopefully after a Harris win. We’re sending Ukraine a significant new package of urgently needed munitions. This support will help Ukraine protect its troops and its people and reinforce its capabilities across the front lines.
Holy crap. This is a wild event. Hopefully it keeps going and improves. I have no idea where they even are or where they are said to be but I hope this progress continues. This is the first time in a long while where I've been feverishly checking updates.
