Wenyen's too good for the g-league, so I can see the Lakers trying to give him some minutes. He could probably kill it overseas, but I understand why he wants to stay here. Still young! _________________ "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." — Gandhi

Speaking of 6’ 9”, I miss Kuzma. The Lakers do too. He’s playing very efficiently in D.C. His 17 & 8.8, plus his height and defensive abilities would provide a lot more options than Vogel has this year.
As someone said, the Lakers started the season with more guards than Buckingham Palace.
Underrated pickup. He’s getting minutes with the lakers for sure. His energy is exactly what this lazy ass team needs _________________ “like I never left”
Just play him and live with his mistakes. Vogel hates young players. _________________ "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." — Gandhi

Let him get some burn. Already better than Ariza. _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant
Wenyen Gabriel got in during garbage time but showed heart, hustle and athleticism, things that this team is sorely lacking.
WG has a lot of defensive potential. He plays hard defensively and rebounds well.

With our next three games against bad or mediocre teams, coach needs to give Gabriel some meaningful playing time. I'm sick of seeing us play so small so much of the time.
Plus we need to develop more young players since we have almost no draft picks anytime soon.

The Lakers are waiving forward Sekou Doumbouya to make room to sign forward Wenyen Gabriel to a two-way contract, league sources tell @TheAthletic.
So this person is better than Sekou? Was Sekou near the limit of how many games he could play is a two-way player why not just bring him back up?
I mean...
Sekou was not even close to being the best player with the South Bay Lakers.
I don't know if it's his injury or not but things never got rolling for him in South Bay.
Wenyen G. & Doumbouya have similar game.
Oh Werd?
I actually don't even remember seeing him in the SBL games that I watched. I was more thinking about having some continuity for a damn change. But if Sekou is wack then that's not helpful so… I don't know anything about Wenyen besides what folks have posted here so I shall keep an open mind.
They definitely don't have similar game. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
