"I would have cooked him too," Morant said of Jordan. "Nobody got more confidence than 12."

Throw that one in with Britney Griner saying she'd beat uninjured short-prime years Boogie Cousins who was 80 lbs heavier with a man's musculature against a shorter stick figure who can barely dunk. Cuz says she's delusional. Her: "It's OK, little man." That "no one has more confidence" crap is streetwise silliness for most of the people who do it. There's confidence and then there's sounding like a complete fool. That puffed up confidence talk is akin to past notions of street cred/heart, etc. It's usually the twerp in the scenario who broaches the subject in the first place, not the opponent who is comfortable in their own skin/ability/stature.

Hope Briner is able to get out of Russia, but separate matter.

"Ja, you know I love you and your dad, but hey man, stop that s*** man," Maxwell said during his guest appearance on the No Chill podcast with Gilbert Arenas. "I'm telling you, Ja. you don't want them problems bruh."

"He was just a dog," Maxwell said. "Leave that man alone. He is in a class all by himself.
