JJ and FO need to decide if he is a staring caliber player on a contending team in two weeks. Otherwise, a trade will be made to strengthen that position.
That's why JJ testing him I guess. But no need to test actually. He is obviously not that player yet. |
Max needs to work on his dribbling skills. |

It’s the other part of the game he needs to work on. But I don’t think he will be a good iso player in this league. He just lacks the ball handling skills. |
Keep in mind KCP didn't develop a consistent 3 point shot till he was 24-26
And when he was Max's age he put up 12 points and 3 rebounds a game but shot 40% from the field and 34% from three.
The first 6 years of KCPs career he averaged 12 points 3 rebounds 1.2 steals a game while shooting 41% from the field and 34% from three. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Excellent points. Keep in mind, also, that KCP was the 8th pick in his draft so he was expected to significantly produce. Max, otoh, was a second round pick so the expectations are not as high.
His ballhandling does need work, but I love his potential. I see fine, workable clay in this young man. |

Christie is garbage. No way he should be getting more minutes than Knecht. At any level. |

???
Max didn’t play well against the Clippers, but he’s been leagues better than Dalton who has been straight ass for nearly two months. |

Not defensively he isn't. Max is a decent defender, defense is what keeps Dalton on the bench. That having been said, Max has also made some nice strides on offense since his rookie year. Dalton needs to make those strides on the other end. |

Dalton plays horrible defense. Throughout the month of December he’s also been absolutely horrible shooting the ball too. Dalton deserved multiple DNP |

I'd rather see Knecht get the burn and experience than watch Cbristie fumble around out there. How many years has he been on the roster now?
Time to cut bait and invest minutes in a real prospect. |

It's because Christies game isn't aesthetically pleasing on offense but he's about 3x the player Dalton is right now. Christie in January has shot close to 40% from 3 and has been really good on defense.
Dalton is the much better offensive player but hasn't shown it and his defense is so bad he's unplayable.
JJ is forcing Max to do too much though. He is forcing him to handle the ball and create and he's just not there yet as a player.
21 years old though so im 100% convinced he'll be much better by next season now that he's gettng a full season of PT under his belt. |

This is the first season Max has gotten good minutes and so far he's delivered.
DK isn't the prospect you think he is. He's not on that level. |

If Max wants to remain a starter he will really have to develop other parts of his game. Right now he can get away with the KCP/Danny Green role with Lebron on the team. |

Let's see how he looks in four years before we call KCP his ceiling.
Max is already far more efficient than KCP was when he was 21

Thank you.. this was quite enlightening.. Often we think of KCP circa 2020 rather than 2015, when comparing with Max Christie!! _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Really liked when he was switched onto KP and he made KP work for everything inside. Even Reggie Miller noticed how Max was challenging him for position and making him work.
I am really impressed by Max's motor. The guy works so hard defensively and then he is moving around all the time on offense too! I mean he is 21 and that is probably a large part of it, but he has to lowkey be one of the fittest guys on the team. |

People have bad memories. KCP was (bleep) in 2021, kuz was bad in 2020-2021 playoffs. |

Didn’t KCP start that season (20-21) like a house on fire, then totally shat the bed as the season went on? _________________ #18 next... |

Max continues to look solid as hell. I still grit my teeth and pray whenever he has to make a decision with the ball, but his effort can never be questioned. Knocking down open threes and grabbing 8 big boards today, beautiful. |

As long as he plays within his limitations, he’s perfect for a team led by a ball-dominant type like Bron. Does so many vital skills well _________________ #18 next... |

He’s about to turn 22 in a couple of weeks. He’s got a long way to go until he’s done developing. Great pick. _________________ “Cuban would never”

The back-to-back corner three with his usual solid defense were a sight to see. Man, his play of late has been awesome. Keep it up, young fella! |
