Way to show out, deserves more run going forward. If he was 6'6... He probably be starting over TBJ right now. |

Lonnie Walker IV > Malik Beasley
Lonnie had been our 3rd best player all year before the trades. In no way, shape or form should he have been getting DNPs or losing the majority of his minutes to Beasley. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Despite the past few weeks, he has exceeded my expectations. Not many players have gotten more grief before even playing a game for us. I hope he gets a fair contract somewhere. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

You have to give Walker credit. He hasn't been getting any time, but he played well when he got his opportunity. |

That scoring role that Reaves had coming off the bench? Now that Reaves is a starter that role should go to Lonnie. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I like how Lonnie wasn’t chucking up shots tonight. Most of them were good shots. Like AD said, he ”making the right plays.” Great job Lonnie. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Give more minutes to whoever has hot hand between Malik and Lonnie. If he plays smartly, no reason Lonnie should have more DNPs. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

Yup, been saying for a long time that Lonnie is better in a microwave scoring role. Ham should look to him when Beas is cold and the team is just struggling to get buckets. We gave Rob so much flak for overloading on guards last summer but this was one of those instances where it certainly paid off. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

This still needs to happen and especially in the first round given what Malik Beasley and Troy Brown Jr haven't given us much of anything.
Lonnie not getting playtime over Beasley and Brown is Ham's biggest fumble thus far this first round.
Lonnie in a Lou Williams like role on the backup unit with Schroeder is one of our best bets. Especially when Ham was going through periods where Russ, LeBron and AD were in a minutes situation that only one, or neither were on the court.
You need a microwave scoring option like Lonnie that can keep the pressure on the defense for situations like that as it keeps the defense from settling on the one star that's in.
Bench lineup of
Dennis Schroeder
Lonnie Walker IV
Rui Hachimura
Mo Bamba
Run with that. You can still throw in Troy with that unit or one of either LeBron or AD. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If LW4 got half the chance Beasley got he would produce twice as much. I had been suspicious about Beasley over LW4 from the beginning due to Beasley’s 39% shooting overall vs LW4 at 45% at the time of the trade…plus LW4 had been shooting 2% better from 3 than Beas and averaging more points with 2 fewer shots.
Wish I had been wrong about Beas…but he isn’t the guy we wanted…he can say “I’m NOT him” as he ended up being who I thought he was. Time to move on…don’t even pick up the option to clear the rumor mill black cloud that has perpetually hung over the team. It eroded chemistry. Use the savings to bring back Mo/Rui/TBjr/Reaves/Schro/Dlo, but then try to bring LW4 back for $7mil. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. At least LW4 usually brings the firepower even though his defense is suspect; right now, Beas is giving us nothing. Free Lonnie! |

I am the biggest LW4 skeptic ever but I'm hitting a level where it's hard for me to even see a justification for Beasley over LW4. |

If Beas isn't shooting above 35% for 3 he isn't deserving to play over Lonnie. Atleast with the latter we know he can attack in different ways _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Same. I kept arguing with folks a few months ago as to why Beasley is a better option than Lonnie.. I feel pretty foolish now. I don't think Lonnie can play as bad as Beasley has for weeks now. |

AD Mo Cousins(or another vet min high ceiling risk)
LBJ Rui Gabe
Vando TBjr
Reaves LW4 MaxC
Dlo Schro ShaqH
Wouldn’t mind having LW4 back for $7ish mil and field the 14 man roster above. Maybe is Rob can play pull off some magic, Beasley’s contract can be flipped for someone like Oubre or on fantasy island perhaps Miles Bridges, or perhaps Mo/Beasley package for Turner…but the 14 players above are likely the most realistic competitive team we can expect. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. Lonnie should get Beasley's minutes for game 4. Beasley is out there to make threes and he's made one 3pt shot in three games. He's only taken 6 and most of those have been spot up. If he's just going to shoot spot up 3s Lonnie can make spot up 3s and can draw fouls with drives to the rim. |

Beasley has proven he doesnt belong on the court anymore. Time to switch it up and get the 2nd quarter back.
Beasley has been stinking it up and LW4 can shoot just as good....but also add athleticism and shot creation, which is what is missing when Beas has entered the game over the last month.
PLEASE get LW4 some playing time. |
