I feel like he could grow to become better defensively and offensively.

He has some underutilized passing skills. His dribbling is decent I guess, he's not really relied upon there. His shooting has been better. 37% from 3 this year, but 39% in his last 32 games since coming back from a short injury. His ball denial defense is really good, and he is quite athletic with a 7 ft wingspan. I think he can develop even more defensively.

He's come back down to earth a bit the past few games. I doubt he gets a full MLE (taxpayer or non-taxpayer) anywhere at this rate. Still holding hope we find a way to keep him but Dennis is certainly not making it easy.

I don't know what you expect from Troy. He did more than his job.

Sorry, man, I am just pissed off at the whole team and dumbass Darvin Ham.
I like Troy Brown and hope he returns.
I hope Beasley doesn’t…

No it has not, I still see him hitting big & timely shots, like he did all season.

Troy was our 2023 iron man. 75 games played. Next most was Wenyen at 67. Troy was also 4th in total minutes.

The only thing really changed was his attempt number but he’s still produced, played d, are the right plays, and hit 3s. He just doesn’t have the luxury of starter attempts.

38% in Feb
42% in Mar
66% in Apr

That’s what he did from three … Had 4 boards and about 7 points per game each month too

I've been a big TBJ hater if I'm being honest, but today I felt like his defense on Ja (in the 3rd? I can't recall when lol) was quite good.

Decent game today. Shot is still MIA, but better defense and good effort.

He’s a guy to bring back for vet min…even BAE if we had it…but not part of an 8 man playoff rotation. I would like to get a backup SF (actually a starter and bring Vando off the bench) so that TBjr could play SG where I think he’s most effective.

I’d take a back court next year with:
Dlo/Schro/ShaqH as PG
Reaves/TBjr/Christie as SG.

If we could flip Beas for say…Oubre, then TBjr could be very useful at back up SG.

He's a good regular season guy to have for sure. The BAE is well below the average NBA salary so you shouldn't be surprised if he isn't lighting the world on fire in the playoffs.

Troy at the backup guard spot seems like a better position for him in this playoffs.

Would love to see him have a game where he is knocking down his shots. If he is knocking down shots then you want him out there, because his defense can be disruptive, and I think he's a good matchup against a guy like Bane, and he can switch onto Ja every now and then.

I wonder how he'll be viewed in free agency...the regular season version who was solid or the playoff version who's been very pedestrian against vastly different matchups. You figure that someone you sign with the MLE is a playoff contributor. For the minimum, maybe even one of the smaller exceptions, not so much.

I think we get him back for the minimum. He is good for the regular season to fill minutes

Yeah I think it will boil down to whether another team offers him one of the smaller exceptions (BAE, TPMLE). Otherwise, a 20% raise or whatever small amount we have to spare from our exceptions.
