Figure you are joking but in case you aren’t…. Inglewood is LA, everyone from California knows that. The Fabulous Forum is where the LA Lakers played for 30 years.

Yes, when most people talk about LA, they are referring to LA County.

Yes, we know. I'm merely suggesting the Clippers should call themselves Inglewood Clippers if they want to get out from the Lakers' shadow. They should have their own place and their own city.
Just like the Angels should change their name back to Anaheim Angels. Changing to LA Angels hasn't gotten them any more popular. They should try and make a name for themselves in the city where their stadium is located. _________________ Los Angeles Lakers 2025 NBA Champions!! Go JJ!

Let me clarify.....Inglewood is a city, yes, but it's part of Los Angeles County list of cities. There are 88 cities within LA County, including Inglewood. So, Inglewood is part of LA. So, the point of Giannis wanting to play in LA versus Inglewood is inaccurate since Inglewood is part of LA Country....
It's like saying the Bucks are in Milwaukee, not Wisconsin. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."
I feel like our best shot at Giannis is FA in 2025. We don't have the assets without Reaves to compete with other teams and Milwaukee won't necessarily prefer to let go earlier unless it's some great great haul. They get more out of 2 more tries to go all the way with a prime MVP candidate than from a bunch of 2nd rate players making them compete for the playoffs.
So come 2025, do we have the cap space? We would need to get rid of our longer contracts, James will have to not re-sign/Davis would have to be traded, and then we would need to be attractive enough as a contender with AD, Reaves and not much else (some 30M in cap space remains after these 3 are signed).
If it happens great, but definitely prefer we go after Doncic instead. In 2025 we'd have our Pelicans picks resolved and we could offer 29 and 31. Doncic will be entering his final year and probably won't have a chip by then. Can't see him being satisfied with that situation. _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

What the Clippers should do is get out of Californi altogether because unfortunately for them most of California are either Laker fans… Warriors fans or Kings fans.. they need to move to some place like Seattle were the fans over there would get extra attached to the Clippers since the people in Seattle are thirsty for a basketball team
Pros to Moving:
1. Gives the Clippers their own city/state with no other NBA team to compete for market share
2. Brings the NBA back to Seattle
Cons to Moving:
1. Ballmer has a $2B stadium for his team opening next year
2. Franchise relocation fee probably would cost them $500M-$1B.
3. The Clippers franchise is valued at almost $4B despite being second banana in LA, the second largest media market city in the country. Moving elsewhere would make the franchise less valuable. And potentially moving them to the NY metro area probably won't boost their profile or value as the 3rd team.
So why would they move away from the second largest market, away from a brand new $2B stadium, and kill their franchise value? If the Clippers were going to move to Seattle, it would have been done when Ballmer first bought the team, not now. The Clippers are here to stay in the LA area, like it or not.

This is the type of thing that is routinely said by Lakers fans who are simply irritated that the clippers exist in the same city.
The reality is being the second team in an area of the size of Los Angeles is much more profitable and much more desirable than being the number one team in Seattle and most other smaller cities. In fact, it would probably be more profitable and more desirable to be the number three team in Southern California (say Orange county) than to be the number one team in Seattle.
Obviously, the Clippers aren't going anywhere. Ballmer is spending billions to build a new arena.

They won't move, and if they do, please somewhere other than Seattle. Supersonics were cool, don't want the clippers to ruin that. But it's probably time for the NBA to expand again. Las Vegas, Seattle, Montreal, Mexico City _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Was watching ESPN and Zach Lowe/RJ and co. say they think the Lakers can win the West/title this year. Say they’re underrated and gonna be a lot better than last year.
Where I agree with them is that I think the mirage of 2 seasons in 1 made it tough to evaluate the team. You look at the post Westbrook season and the team is elite. You look at the season as a whole, not so much.
Those on the panel buy in the Lakers will be with the Denver etc level of winning teams upcoming season. If true, we’re looking at our first 50+ win type of season since 19-20. It’s been a long time since we’ve actually been a good regular season team. The depth we’ve added we should be able to sustain that level.
Last year vs this year around AD/Bron
TBryant/Jones/Gabriel vs Woods/Vandy/Hayes
Westbrook/Bev/Dennis/Reaves vs DLO/Reaves/Vincent/Christie
JTA vs Rui/Prince/Reddish
The only not clear upgrade is Christie, just based on that he’s not yet proven to be a rotational level NBA player, which he could be. I’m not sold on Vincent over Dennis, but overall DLo/Reaves/Vincent is better than playing those small ball Dennis/Bev/Westbrook lineups.
My floor for this team is 45 wins. I believe they have the depth to survive AD Bron rest/injuries. If AD has another season like last where he was a superstar level player, we’ll be able to sniff 50 wins.

Sure, it's possible. I'm just not sold on the idea that the key to a title is improving the supporting cast. As has been true ever season since '20, it comes down to whether Lebron and Davis are healthy and playing at an elite level when it matters. We have a bunch of wild cards -- Vincent, Christie, Reddish, Vanderbilt, Wood, Hayes. If they work out, we should be better able to withstand absences by Davis or Lebron, or even some regression from Lebron. We should have a better regular season record as a result. Once we get to the playoffs, if Lebron and Davis are healthy and playing at an elite level, those guys could make a difference if they work out. But it all comes down to Davis and Lebron, as always. _________________ Internet Argument Resolved
I was looking at some Biyombo film last night and man is he lean. Looks like 1% body fat
Best game last year came vs Embiid and the 6ers. Embiied had 28/10 but only 8 for 19 from field
