This Max Christie kid on the Mavs looks like a perfect 3-D fit. Any way we could get him?

Free Agency, Mo Bamba, Los Angeles Clippers
Mo Bamba anyone? |
Would be nice. We'd have to waive some people though. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

He makes 23 million and is an expiring. We would be wasting a Rui contract that we probably would want to trade for next season. I would want a player that has 1 more year on their contract so we can have trade options in the offseason as well.
Trading 20 something million in Salaries for an expiring right now limits them later |
Totally valid point. Still, Brown could be a contributor this season and be someone you could retain, especially after cutting a lot of payroll next year. But it is true, it could limit options.
My guess is that we're going to be a player in the wake of someone else's deal. |
He's not even good anymore. Hasn't been since he left Denver. He was never that good outside of that Finals run with Dallas. I wouldn't want to spend real money outside of a minimum to retain him _________________ Previously CamReddish |

I'm down for Mi Bamba. Can't hurt. He can shoot and block shots. Good for spot minutes _________________ Previously CamReddish |

Lonzo over Bruce Brown any day, if we're sending out that much salary. |

If we can't find a center then yes I would waive Markieff for Mo Bamba. I don't think it changes much for us, but I rather have Mo if that was our only option. |

He was out with an Ankle injury yesterday. Nesmith came back from an Ankle injury a few weeks ago and this is the 1st back to back since _________________ Previously CamReddish |

Nesmith is shooting something like 42% from 3 since the start of last season. |

If that’s all it takes to get turner, the deal would’ve happened a long time ago. |

Give it time. Rob had to negotiate down on the Luka offer too.
Let him cook. _________________ LUKA FREAKING DONCIC WHAT IS THIS TIMELINE?!

If we're going to get either Mathurin or Nesmith along with Turner, we would almost certainly have to include not only Reaves, but either the FRP or Knecht as well. I also wonder if Indiana would require a 3rd team to try to get them a center to replace Turner. For example, perhaps Rui gets routed to that 3rd team and that 3rd team provides the center.

Last I heard... Indy wants another starting caliber big in return. Will need a 3rd team with a big to make it happen. |

Ha, yeah, just edited my last post to say exactly this. Poeltl makes almost the exact same salary. Capela just a little bit more. Just to name a couple of possibilities. |

If Claxton is truly on the block we can bring the Nets in as a 3rd team, but would probably have to send them a 1st, don't know what else Indiana would want _________________ Previously CamReddish |

Vuc, Haliburton needs a spacing big. On the other hand, Vuc is old. |

Giving up the location of where Rob has the Indiana GM's family held hostage. |

Vuc is another possibility, sure. Would seem to be a good fit for Indiana offensively, but obviously they'd lose a bit on the defensive end. Still, it would be another year of Vuc at a fixed cost, compared to Turner expiring, and likely wanting a raise in free agency.
Claxton making $27MM would make a 3-teamer with Indiana a little complicated, if Indy were to end up with him. Just means that more salary must be involved coming from us. Not impossible, just not quite as clean as a center making similar or lesser money to Turner. |
