From The Athletic:
“A league source close to Beal reiterated on Tuesday that there are currently no talks about him waiving the clause, and that he expects to remain in Phoenix through the deadline. Enter Kevin Durant, who could provide an alternate pathway to landing Butler.”
=================================
I really think Durant is going to be traded. Beal is hamstringing them and they are stuck in the mud. Perhaps they will admit defeat and just move KD for as much as they can get. Thing is, Beal still has 2 more years after this one, and by the end of his contract, Booker will be 30. Tough questions in Phoenix right now. |

So bizarre, Butler still wants to get to Phoenix without KD? Ironically KD would be good in Miami. |

Kelly Olynyk is starting the second half for Toronto, as apparently Poeltl is injured. Could be nothing, could be something... |

Phx gonna end up trading Booker and Durant before Beal's contract runs out lol.
And we all thought Westbrick trade was the most destructive. That Beal trade legitimately sealed the Suns fate. _________________ LUKA FREAKING DONCIC WHAT IS THIS TIMELINE?!

Well Jimmy is a bizarre fellow to begin with for good and for bad. He is special, a one of a kind and I mean that in his positive and negative points: there are none like him. |

I mean it's definitely something. A lot of guys will be load managing tonight and tomorrow. Doesn't necessarily mean they'll be moved, just trying not to jeopardize potential deals. |

As for latest Bulls trade chatter, everything is fluid but the optimism for more moves that surfaced Monday dried up some on Tuesday. Nikola Vucevic is now prepared to be here past deadline as Warriors have shifted attention to bigger targets, including Kevin Durant. |

Lonzo Ball is drawing interest but in order to get draft capital out of the pending UFA, Bulls would probably have to take long-term $. Remember: Ball makes $21.4M so high number to match.
Bulls happy to take look at 3 new guys if they're not packaged in larger deal. |
Bulls insider that is usually in the know. |

I'm actively rooting for KD to go to Miami. Give them ammo against the Celtics. |

He’s averaging 13 points and 10 boards, he’s not exactly setting the world on fire.
When I think of “so (bleep) good”, I think of Mitchell and Mobley on that team. _________________ LUKA FREAKING DONCIC WHAT IS THIS TIMELINE?!

Are we able to get a disabled player exception for Maxi Klaber? He might be out all season. _________________ Previously CamReddish |

No. January 15th was the last day to apply this season. And even if the Lakers had a DPE they are hardcaped below the 2nd apron after the Luka trade. So it would be irrelevant. |

Why are we hardcapped below the 2nd apron? I thought we were good after the DFS trade.
What can't we do if we are hardcapped below the 2nd apron? |

Have you watched Lonzo this year? He’s very likable, but he’s just not an effective player. |

You would give up Reaves and Rui for Turner and Nesmith? Reaves’ contract pushes his value to that of an Allstar. We cannot replace him at that price level. |
