I don't know if I will watch the season coming as closely as the last few years (esp. with WB still on the team as of today) but I have this date penned in. Excited already for it.

I love Pau. A great Laker, and an even better human being! My son once got me a Cameo video with Pau for my birthday that he was doing for a charity. I was really surprised by how thoughtful and kind he was in the message, and how much time he spent thanking me for being a Laker fan and for being a fan of his too! We wouldn't have won those championships without him!
This is a player that immediately blended seamlessly with our legend KB. A player who, with Kobe, took only two years to win a ring. A valid argument could be made that he was a better fit with Kobe than Shaq was.

Like Goodrich, it didn’t look like Wilkes was going to make it into the Hall. When he did (30 years or so after he retired), the Lakers immediately retired his jersey.
If there's audio of the Kobe quote, they should play it right before they reveal his #16 next to Mamba's #24!! I'm tearing up missing Kobe after this news...
but it is well deserved, Laker Legend & 2-time Champ, Love that Pau will get to celebrate this. I remember the put back versus OKC in 2010. Huge play for our run to the title that year. _________________ All-Time Lakers Squad
