If he keeps it up I can see him competing for the backup point guard minutes next season. Dennis will look to get paid again most likely _________________ “like I never left”

Quote: | Scotty Pippen Jr. continued his tear for the South Bay Lakers, proving that he has real potential as an NBA rotation player. Pippen scored 34 points with four assists and five rebounds in a win over the Maine Celtics over the weekend. Pippen is averaging 23.1 points, 4.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game this season. This came after Pippen scored the game-winning lay-up against Maine in the first matchup between the two teams last Thursday. |

With DLO possibly being out more, why not bring him up to help with some of the PG backup duties? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Although this is a completely logical answer, I feel that:
A) It’s water under the bridge between those two since they are two professionals, and one is trying to just make it into the league.
B) The Lakers organization are and should be focused on winning that worry who dated who outside of the basketball court.
But yes, you do make a good point 😆 _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

I would like to see ScottieJR focus on assists and running an offense rather than scoring…that’s how he is going to make it off South Bay. _________________ “When it looks as if it is a realistic possibility, I want to focus on winning a ship like it’s a goal that can’t be denied. It's questionable if he's a point guard at the NBA level (it's questionable if he's anything at the NBA level, but that's another topic).
He's probably ideally suited to be a no-conscience scorer off the bench. The problem is he probably isn't talented enough to do that at the NBA level.
He might be a true tweener -- not really a point or shooting guard, great for g league but can't do it in the NBA.
In any case, it's hard to imagine him getting meaningful minutes right now.
But I wouldn't be overly seduced by his g league stats. |
