LOL, even a fastball up and out of the strike zone is hit out to the opposite field because he has nothing on it. It's just embarrassing, at this point.

Both teams should just let their starters go the distance. It would be an exciting game.

Scherzer with 7 K in 3 IP against the Braves so far today. Seems like he's back on the beam, as Vin used to say.

He is pretty good.

Or has our standards gone down?

Robertson's change is nice. His fastball's got good zip and movement too. Helps he's so tall, he's got great extension, that 96 plays faster than it is. Just jumps on the batter

This is my first time seeing him, but I like what I've seen. His fastball is 96 and Syndergaard was hitting 94 tonight, but because of Robertson's delivery, which looks like it has some deception to it, the ball appears to get on the hitter very quickly. Who knows, maybe he'll be good for us.

This regime is so stubborn when it comes to cutting their losses:

Quote:
1) Kimbrel
2) Syndergaard
3) Logan Forsythe

Who else?

That's what I see, too. The ball appears to just get on the hitter quicker than the posted velocity.

Thanks for the observation. I hope he will be good for us.

We need to score a couple of runs before the 9th. I feel a walk off coming if we don't.

Helps his change play up. Frankly it was a bit up in the zone a couple times, but he got away with it because it's got good spin rate, he's deceptive as you said, and it plays off a fastball the batter has to respect

some hope in the bullpen...?

He must have been at the bottom of a deep barrel for both of you to have never heard of him.

I miss the days when we were up 3+ runs early and the game was pretty much over.

I don't think we had a hit after the 3rd inning today, also.
