Agree bro. He is massive, has range and absolute money from the mid range. Happy we brought him back! |

I think it's good compromise. Rui probably wanted 4/$60M+
Lakers gave a little more per for 3 yrs |

3/51? I guessed 3/45. Great start to building continuity from last year. Now, calling Mr. Reaves..... |

The structure could be:
Year 1: $15.75M
Year 2: $17.00M
Year 3: $18.25M |

I read somewhere that he was #1 in the playoffs on jumpshots for qualifying players at 51%. I actually thought he shot above that. I almost never see the guy miss. _________________ KOBE |

Dont like the contract. It's based on recency bias. It will be hard to trade and the third year messes up cap space for 2025 |

Not bad. I’ll trust Handy on that contract. |

How is this a hard contract to trade. It's 3 yrs, not 5 yrs |

That's Harrison Barnes contract. Its tradable but will cost a first round pick. |

Cap is probably going to increase close to 10% each of the next 2 seasons so if his contract has raises, that $18.25M is inflation adjusted to under $17M of expiring money. I think he will have more value than Mo Bamba and Malik Beasley had last season. |

The young man just agreed to a contract. Why are you already handwringing over trading him?
Maybe, just maybe, he plays well and they can keep him around a few years.
Would T that just be awful. |

Homie skipped playing for the Japanese National Team this year!!!
So he could work on his NBA Game
I believe in Rui and know his depressed days are gone partially due to all the Love us fans have shown him
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rui_Hachimura
Quote: | fortress
His given name, Rui (塁), means "base" or "fortress" in Japanese; the name was given to him by his grandfather because he was a big fan of baseball (the character 塁 is also used for "base" in context of baseball) | .

Quote: |
During an interview, the 6-foot-8 inches tall big man said, “I just want to be somewhere that wants me as a basketball player, and I want to be somewhere that likes my game, you know?”
Moreover, his kit number also has a special hidden meaning. “Hachi” in Japanese translates to 8, which is the number Rui sported for the Washington Wizards. This exciting new player is expected to have his debut for the Lakers very soon. Rui Hachimura could feature for the Lakers when they take on the San Antonio Spurs on the 26th of January. |

Give this guy a consistent 28 mpg next season and I think he can put up 15/7/2 on 60 TS%. He can be Kroger Kawhi for us |

Slight overpay IMO. I hope some of that 51M is based off incentives. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |
