TBJ. At least JTA plays some defense and has a history of being a decent 3-point shooter, plus he played on a world championship team last year.
Hopefully Hachimura's arrival means much less playing time for TBJ.
Are you just basing this off the past?
Because this year, JTA has been trash. Troy isn't elite but at least he can hit a 3. _________________ ππ π π π #18!!!
Not sure the disappointment in either TBH but Troy is a quasi 2nd string more like 3rd string SF/SG. JTA is a just a cheap tweener off the bench who plays hard without many (or any) other redeeming qualities other than seeming to be a great teammate.
JTA is the odd man out for sure, he's a good vet and could give some defensive minutes/fouls if necessary, but doesn't bring any true offense to the table. TBJ has way more upside, youth and hasn't reached his ceiling yet. I don't think the Lakers will be able to keep either, but if we could I'd say TBJ is the pick here!

Yes exactly, TBJ is clearly better and still has upside.
However, while JTA knows he's end-of-the-bench and is likely content with it, TBJ probably hopes for meaningful playing time so he can fetch a better-than-min contract in the future.
