I know I've said it before, but...

Lonnie Walker HAS to be looking at this guy going, "hey can i have one good half every 3 weeks too"

Ham is just a dumbass. Starting this chucker over Reaves has been the Lakers downfall.

Yeah definitely got the short end of the stick.

They both chuck every time they touch the ball but at least lonnie gives you some versatility on offense and isnt just a one trick pony.

The thing that gets me about Beasley is I watch him shoot OPEN 3s and I don't have any confidence he'll make them (and he usually doesn't!)

It's one thing to be inconsistent on those difficult 3s he takes as an alleged shooter off of off-ball movement, but you have to be automatic on the open 3s at least.

Ugg, feels like they're making it a point to get him going early. He has not rewarded them and it's showing in their slow starts.

Hes been trending down consistently for 5 years straight.

Even if he was shooting 40% you also dont want to pay someone big money whos so streaky and one dimensional.

Thats how you get stuck with 90 million Duncan Robinson.

Well I was a big supporter of him after the trade and really thought he would help us

But at this point, it's all mental with him - guy is out there aiming his shots and being hesitant; even on wide open looks he is missing now

His threat still helps, because when he is on he makes like 7-8 threes and the game is over, but I think Ham has to have a quick trigger on him if he starts cold

Beasley is absolute cheeks. Has been (pun intended) absolute cheeks. Was really hopeful for Beasley. But, the proof is in the pudding. And, he should NOT be extended. He should either be let go. Or, involved in a s&t, in another team is interested in him.

What the hell does “cheeks” mean?
He’s cheeks?
Big cheeks on his face?
Big butt cheeks…

1/7 and 1/5 from 3

Pick his option and trade him in the off-season

Pressure. Lot more eyes on you than in a place like Utah where nobody cares.

Cream rises, you see it with Reaves - those are the guys who will get it done in money time and unfortunately Beasley just hasn't been that guy

Too inconsistent. Time to make the switch. I'd go with Reaves or walker

These generalizations are usually rash reactions but in this case, completely agree as I get those same vibes too that we cant count on him to make a big shot at the biggest momentum turning moments.

Seriously. Something happened to Terry Teagle when he put on the p&g. As soon as he left and put on a Benetton Traviso jersey he was shooting 54.7%.

I would argue that even more important than spacing in general is the ability to make shots somewhat consistently when late in game and the momentum of the game is hanging on a balance - like today and the game against Dallas, Toronto, NYK and pretty much all the games minus the Pelicans game which admittedly Beasley was the biggest part in getting that big lead. Austin has this ability. Beasley is much more rare.

He's had some big games to even it out, but overall he's been bad.

Reaves is in a groove right now off the bench. Dont want to mess with that.

Walker is more athletic than Beasley except Walker does not have the same gravity threat as Beasley.

That's a pretty random throwback and fact, but I dig it.

Re Beasley, pretty sure he's in his own head. He knows he's missing good looks, and he knows the team is super accommodating, because they know he'll be a big part of our playoff run (should we get there). And with each miss, I am assuming the pressure's building up. They always say shooters have to shoot themselves out of a funk, and I'm pretty sure he will too. He's just too good of a shooter to have such a drop off. He's gone from 36% in utah to 34% and falling (33% in L10) in LA. He's also seeming to force a LOT of 3s (because he's been given the green light) though, which is my biggest concern. I just want the shot to come natural to him, and right now, feels like every time he touches it, he almost wants to jack it up just to see if it'll start falling again.

He has no gravity shooting 33% teams will dare him to shoot if he keeps missing
