Here is a thread to apologize to the great Magic Pelinka

In a span of two days he gave us youth, depth and charted a course for us to make the playoffs!

Rob's introductions of the new players will be fun to watch. The biblical and greek mythology references are going to be crazy.

Maybe when's he's freed from the Klutch trade suggestions/player signings, he can actually create a functional team.

If nothing else, the team will be hella more fun and interesting to watch and we have actual pieces to build with moving forward next season.

Lots of optionality and assets to work with.

Job well done!

Great job Rob! Lebron better keep his mouth shut from now on, he’s Michael Jordanesque in talent/roster evaluation

When the team finally drew a clear line between what we would and would not give up for Kyrie... it felt like we were no longer at the mercy of LeGM's whims.

Outstanding job by Rob.

I think if anyone here said this last month that by the deadline we would have ....

- Rui
- DLO
- Beasley
- Vanderbilt
- Mo Bamba

While dumping
- Russ
- Pat Bev
- 2027 1st rd pick
- Some 2nds

They be like, right and pigs fly

WELL DONE ROB

I don't even think there should be a press conference.

This team needs to acclimate the new players, put their heads down and work.

It's an uphill battle to get into the playoffs.

All of these moves are for (bleep) if they don't make it to at least #10. And #10 would be an underachievement like this whole season so far.

If LeBron and AD go nova and DLO and Beasley knock it down, this team has a real chance to go from 13th to playing meaningful games in the POs.

Ham did far too much deferring to Russ and Bev for the sake of respecting vets.

With Bamba and Vando...no more 40 point quarters...can't believe how many of those we gave up over the last few weeks.

Bron asked for shooters...he got 'em.

AD doesn't want to play the 5 all the time...he got it.

DLO
Beas
Bron
AD
Bamba

That's a balanced starting 5. Can swap Beas for Vando or AR15 if you want too.

We spent WAY too much for Russ and then spent WAY too much catering to his feelings. So happy we get to let Russ be Russ on some other team.

Rob's main problem was that he had too many cooks in his kitchen. This is what happens when you just let him cook. We saw it his first full offseason here, we saw it this trade deadline.

Yea, thanks Rob! I had been one of his biggest critics. This type of work should have been put in before training camp and if it cost another FRP it would have been worth it so as not to have to dig out of the hole created by waiting until the trade deadline...so the criticism was justified.

But now...praise is also justified...Rod did a masterful job, not only with the players acquired for this year but the cost to get them was good along with the flexibility to retain a cohesive roster next year. Hopefully the Lakers can start to get some continuity with the roster build the chemistry necessary to complete for a title.

Out: WB/Bev/Nunn/JTA/Jones/Bryant...1FRP with protection, numerous 2ndRPs
In: Delo/Beas/Vand/Rui/Bamba...numerous 2ndRPs

Nice work!!!

Can we get PJ Washington to play at SF from Charlotte for Walker? LOL...greedy

I have to say it is clever how he shipped Bev outta here so Ham couldn't cling to him at SG

And got some young hungry guys in here where he can't play the vet card

In addition to everything else, he "Ham-proofed" the roster

That may have been one of the best parts!!! I was cringing thinking about Schroeder and Bev still being on the roster tho with Bev the team lost some defensive back court moxy...Ham wasn't using Bev appropriately anyway so it's good temptation has been removed.

Would have liked to balance out the SG logjam (Walker/Beas/Reav/Max) for a SF so Ham couldn't play 3 guard line ups but can't have everything...overall pleased.
