Looking at who they have to play, they should be able to come close to winning out no matter how much LeBron and AD play. My guess is 45 wins and either the 4th or 5th seed. |

Ideally we would want the 7th or 8th seed so we can avoid the scenario where we have to win BOTH play in games but without Bron, I’m not entirely sure if that’s likely. 8th is possible while 9th is more realistic. |

@Trevor_Lane:
Quote: | What Lakers fans should be rooting for tonight:
Lakers win over Wolves
Blazers lose to Hawks
Jazz lose to Thunder (either way helps)
Pelicans lose to Warriors
Clippers lose to Kings
Celtics lose to Nets |

The Lakers could be tied in record at 31-33 with the Pelicans (#10) and Jazz (#9) by the end of tonight, as well as be tied in the loss column with the Wolves (#8) and Clippers (#7). |

Damn Clippers felt out of reach just a few games ago. But lets focus on us, Wolves are a direct competitor, gotta get the win _________________ 48 49 50 52 53 54 72 80 82

Yeah, the Clips got the Westbrick bump and are headed in the direction they deserve. Down. But the Lakers need that trend to continue and are going to need to beat the Pelicans, TWolves, Clippers and Jazz in all the head to head games. Not an easy task. |

Looks like we may be in a 4-way tie for 9th at evening's end.
It would be nice to get our guys back and break out from the pack. |

Looking like the 4 way tiebreakers still has Lakers in 11th seed.
Going to be a long stretch run with nightly flip flops in the standings.
Just need to win games! |

When this poll was put up, I bet no one voted "no" we won't make the play-ins because we might be higher than the 7th seed. |

I was thinking 6th was a slight possibility if everyone stayed mostly healthy but yeah, once Bron went down especially I thought the slim chance of that happening was LONG gone.
Pretty wild how resilient this team has quickly become compared to the abysmal roster we had before the trade deadline. It's to the point now where i'd be surprised if we finish anywhere below 7th but that 6th seed is still very much a possibility as well. The way the team is playing defense will keep us in nearly every game even when our offense is struggling. Then you sprinkle in the fact that the teams within reach are mostly all also facing big injuries or just flat out playing bad since the deadline ala the Warriors/Clippers. |

Ideally, getting up to either 4 or 5 and playing Memphis in the first round and then Denver in the second round would be the easiest path to the WCF and it looks like that is very attainable. |

I thought that they would be the 9 seed months ago and still believe that they will be there. Of course that relies on AD bucking his pattern of having 10-12 great games and then getting hurt. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I remain skeptical. We are barely in the play-in position, and my fear is that AD is going to get hurt. And we have zero chance with no Lebron and no AD. |

I was having doubts before the GS/Memphis/Tor trifecta.
9-5 gets in provided that part of those 9 wins is Ws vs. Pels, Mavs, OKC, Minnesota and Utah x2.
If those are 6 of the Ws. We are in and probably in 7th or at worst 8. |
