I thought they had a good chance. So much has to go wrong for them to lose a game.

I think itโ€™s a necessary growing pain. Russellโ€™s second game back. Ham experimented with new groups like Dennnis, Russel, Beasley, Rui, AD. And we faced two of the best defensive coaches who both game planned for our guards to not go into AD. Toronto went box and one which nba tv broke down so our guards ate them up. Knicks trapped from the corners and pressed the ball, so they pushed AD catches out to 20 feet and out and allowed three point shots which Troy and Beasley missed. Lebron isn't coming back for a while dude Boot or no boot.

No use rushing it.

What the team needs is AD actually looking like a star.

Hartenstein was put on him. (bleep) HARTENSTEIN.

Yeah, was kinda disappointed with AD tonight. But it happens. Looking forward to his bounce back game against the Pels

Knicks beat us without Lebron, ho-hum...I'm sure Spike Lee thinks they won the title tonight...
Drink it up Spike, Kobe ate the Knicks souls his whole career.

Ham lost us that. Terrible coaching and rotations, not riding the hot hand, leaving our poorest guys on the floor etc

I think when guys are having off games like Troy Brown was having tonight, people like Rui should get more minutes in place of them, or Lonnie should get some burn. We have this depth for a reason. Troy Brown was WAY off tonight and didn't deserve to play 28-29 Mins. If anything I'd have given Lonnie some burn and seen if he could make some offense happen.

We got a lot of depth, we should be utilizing it when guys aren't having a good night. Does it put more pressure on them? Sure, but it's the point of having depth in the first place.

Ugh that random sitting of Reaves out there in the 4th to play Beasley when Beasley didn't have it today. That didn't make any sense unless Reaves really had to take a dump

Glad they arenโ€™t back to backs.

We still in this ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ™

Pels/rockets is actually B2B, but that canโ€™t be an excuse because the Pels havenโ€™t had their top end players and the rockets arenโ€™t interested in winning.

My God I hope we trade AD in the offseason.

Hell no i dont. AD is great as a #2...Dude is not good enough to consistently be relied on as the lead man.

It's games like this that role players like Brown Jr and Beasley NEED to step up as that is what they are here for. They are 4th or 5th on the pecking order and have the least responsibility and have a very simple role. It's up to them to execute that role when their number is called.

Terrible coaching and rotations. Allowing Barrett to drive the lanes without having guys in thatโ€™ll contest the shots at the rim. This dude needs to be fired asap !

That seemed like an outlier game in multiple respects. RJ Barrett had his one good game in 5 games against us, which is unfortunate. But we're vulnerable against these big dudes who attack the rim. We win this game fairly easily with LeBron in the fold.

We also fell too much in love with the 3. Beasley just going as cold as Russell has gotten hot. Brown 0-8. AD 1-5 from the line. Too much soft jumpshooting.

To be really honest with you, I wasn't really paying attention to the season much but DLO brought me back. He's fun to watch. We might not win a championship but I love the way he and the bench plays. A bit quick to hoise threes though but eh, we can work on it.

The question is do you think Lonnie goes better than 2-15 from three? Troy was 0-7 and Beasley 2-8 and they doubled off them as JVG pointed out.

Now I agree with this continuing to take reaves off the floor whenever heโ€™s playing well is a little frustrating

Beasley is wearing a little thin heโ€™s just cold heโ€™s not up and down heโ€™s just down

Nah dude AD pisses me off to be honest. I've defended his play all season when he's come out flat but it's getting to become too much now.

He has no assertiveness in him what so ever. It doesn't matter if the score is he'll play the same way.

Someone should honestly look up his 2nd half stats. I'd be shocked if he had 5 pts. and Thats with a backup C on him for the entire half.

Yes but then itโ€™s up to a coach to get them a shot or layup over the threes theyโ€™re bricking. Itโ€™s also a coaches choice to pull them or simply keep one of Russell or AD out there. JVG questioned Ham to end the third when he asked why did you pull them both at one time when you just took the lead.

Explain what the coach did wrong

1. Things i dont like is he pulled DLO too early when he had it going early in the 1st half.

2. I think sitting both AD and DLO both at the same time cant happen

3. Having a short leash on AR

4. giving a lonnnnnng leash on Beasly..when you see he doesnt have it..pull him.

5. Not adjusting even it meant putting in Walker when Brown didnt have it today

6. Get on AD butt for not getting inside when you got somebody on you who simply shoiuldnt be able to stop you. AD needs to assert his will and Ham should be yelling that at him.

Everything goes out the window against the Lakers. An underperforming team is just underperforming because they don't play the Lakers enough. Those guys are talking and thinking about that game a month before. Vegas should start a betting line on which guy averaging single digits is going to go for 20+ against the Lakers

Explain what the coach did wrong

Pulling Dlo too earlywhile hot in the 1st.
Leaving Beasley in too long while ice cold.
Recognizing TBJ didn't have it tonight and Rui did, and give minutes accordingly.
Telling team to absolutely foul after schro last score of game with 19 seconds left.
