This is exactly why so many of us said we need to sign one more big. We have no center and no backup enter tonight - ugh.

It's fine, I wouldn't worry too much about this game. Let's say we lose, we still have our playin chances completely in our hands with games against the likes of the Jazz and the Wolves. This isn't a must win though it would be very nice to win this game. Much more important that AD stays healthy this close to the playoffs

Just FYI Sengun isn't ruled all the way out yet. LGSRS is still on the table.

Likely hear in about 45 minutes. Rockets doing the pregame walk-through as we speak, rather than shootaround. That's when he was ruled out on Monday so TBD for a little while more. Still listed as questionable.

It’s tough to get a read on LGSRS with tanking teams

Indeed. There's a good convo about it in the Injury thread. There's really no incentive for them to have him play so...

That said

Hearing Alperen Sengun is good to go for Rockets vs. Lakers. Silas chats in about 10 minutes so we'll know more then.

He’s probably like “It’s the Lakers. I want to play so all of Turkey sees me vs. Lakers.”

Nice job Lakers. I would be surprised if we win this one now if Sengun plays the full game. We have no one that can guard him…no Lebron, AD or Bamba.

Maybe we should let LeBron play against us, might make him heal quicker

So I have seen criticisms of Silas taking Sengun out for like entire 4th quarters.

He may do it again or play that stunt, but something tells me they are actually going for this win now so I wouldn’t count on it.

Per Feigen

Rockets center Alperen Sengun to warm up, likely to play vs. Lakers tonight, Silas said.

Of course, only player who didn't have a healing to play the Lakers was Brunson, everyone else always comes back lol

id be willing to bet there is not another team in the NBA they would have played him today other than the Lakers.

welp, gotta suck it up and find a way to win despite him likely having another career night against us.

Sengun is no joke. Future star in the league imo. He’s doing things that not even Jokic did at that age.

Tbh from when I have seen them, he is their best player.

Career night is probably likely to come from someone like Garuba

Wellllll.... crap. Lakers have 1 power forward and no centers, it's only logical for the Rockets not to rest Senguin against this lineup. In ordinary circumstances you don't risk this young man's future, but not against the Lakers. After all they're trying to get to 17 wins.

No need to worry though, we will smother them with our smallness

Tons of stars have missed games against the Lakers this year but I think that’s just symptomatic of more guys getting hurt lately.

Im surprised the Rockets would bother playing someone who isn’t 100% but when I checked rotoworld, he had originally been listed as probable before being scratched, so maybe it was very minor to begin with.
